The best game ever! I played the psx version when i was... 7 o 8 years old, and it really... pfff how can i say? i dont know. Without this game, i would be a different person. In any way, this game did make me as i am. I am happy for seeing there are more people with similar feelings. Thats because this is a great, great game.
I used to play this game when I was little. I remember playing it with my mum and my brother. It's so nice listening to all these songs again, and seeing that there are many people who played this when little too!!
Both LBA 1 & 2 are getting re-released on GOG this week plus it maybe getting put on the iPhone/iPad and if theres enough support through sales, they may start work on LBA 3
The music makes me feel like I did as a kid, be able to achieve anything, no matter the odds! it reels you back to the time when things where simpler and reminds me of fun happy times we had! Its strange, listhening to it makes me feel stronger and fires me up to press on through hard times! Theres a Twinsen inside us all somewhere :D
Everytime i listen to this song I wish I could make everyone in the world listen to it too, to let them know how damn awesome it is. Also the melody from 1:22 to 1:35 is the most epic ever created.
Sometimes I'd just fire up LBA to listen to this and not play the game at all. I don't think I ever started a game without listening to this the whole way through.
I first played LBA when I was 11. I loved it. When I replayed it in my early 20's I realised it was one of those timeless games where it doesn't matter how old you are, even though the races are kind of goofy and the dialogue a bit corny it's still a game you can enjoy no matter what.
A little kid could play it these days in spite of all the photorealistic headshots on 360 and still enjoy it.
o and for the guys who really wanna play this game again you can go to Magicball site and download it ( put it on a 700+ mb disc with nero or something ) it really works
Epic. I remember being off school "sick" and played this the entire time. I clocked it in the end and had a huge sense of achievement. The 90's were, and always will be the golden era for gaming. Originality and not being scared to try new ideas. Not like now.

@fajro This track was to be played by the CD-ROM-player as an audio track, therefore the excellent quality :) I believe there was no soundcard which could produce this quality sound, only dedicated sound modules. Anyway, good memories hearing this :)
And here was me thinking I was the only weirdo who was still whistling this song almost daily from memory 15 years on! I've not heard this for half my life and it's like I heard it yesterday!
Now I need to find the theme for Monkey Island...
Thanks for making this video. This game is awesome, just like the second, and so is anyone who agrees with me. Also, the best part (in my opinion) is at 1:23.
I'm speechless, filled with nostalgia and the happiest man in the world when I hear this song. I'm so glad I got to play LBA as a kid. This game sure was my biggest adventure.
Listening to this song makes me wish I'd kept the original copies and boxes of these two classic games. I still have the games, but having the copies I had as a child would Mean so much more to me. No other game has had such an impact on my life like this game had on me all those years ago.
Thanks for uploading the music. Personaly, this is better than any Final Fantasy music from any Final Fantasy game.
This makes me bleary eyed as well... jesus christ what a game, nothing like it before or since. So many great memories playing this as a 12 year old kid (28 now) with my older bro. It ranks up there with any movie, music or book in terms of the imporance it has to me and the impact it had on my childhood.
I think I was 9 years old, now im 25. I remember I was scared of the elephants that kill you in the prison, I got outside and hid in the dump truck, then when I got out there was an elephant round the corner near the door to a house. I was frozen in fear cos the only elephants I had encountered so far shot me with a homing ball. I was petrified. I think I was stuck there for 20 minutes or more! Eventually I had the courage to walk round the corner and it was a friendly elephant after all that!!!
haha Why do we all want to cry when we hear this? Because we're all sad that we're not playing this game again for the first time. This game must have had subliminal messages in it, because I still feel a connection to it.
I will never forget the experience of playing this. When I was 5, I was too afraid to walk into the Alien Cave. All I did was beat the kid on top of the roof who threw rocks at you when you passed by and laugh my ass off.
My dad and I used to play this game, but because we both didn't know english at all, we didn't get any further from the first town (I was 5 years old)
First played this game back when I was around 7. Loved it. When my old man bought me LBA2 I was over the moon. I play each game once a year. It's my little tribute to such fine games. I'm with you guys on wishing they would make a second. They just don't make brilliance like this anymore *nostalgic sigh*.
Another one where you're in the warehouse room and those huge boxes (think it was part of a puzzle), was also a powerful piece of music, can't remember what that one was called, though...
i remember when i was a kid and my sister playd this game on a windows 95 i think it was and i loved this theme.. i wasent aloud to play this game then Xd it was to much violent.. (im only 12 years old and my sis is 21)
Little Big Adventure is such a great game, it's hard but it's not unforgiving. I'm still hoping someday someone will make number 3.
It's only been a few years back that I finally finished LBA 1, While it's about 10 years ago that I finished LBA2 hehe =) LBA1 is definitely more challenging, but I love them both from the bottom of my heart!
The music from this game helped inspire me to go to college for music, as odd as it is. I owe a lot to Philippe Vachey. I continued to listen to these two soundtracks well after upgrading to windows XP! :( Thanks for posting! Cheers
@kinglorant MagicBall (dot) net has been planning on 3rd version. So have I. I have planned for some time to buy game-engine and build better graphics and that lovely isometric world of game. But time and money have been the limits to the plans, also it would be enormously hard and costly to organize voice casting. But developing such a game for the low profit has been on my mind for a long time.
So many good memories, those 90's games was amazing. LBA will always be this quirky, magical game I will always remember, and the theme music made it a very special experience.
righ there with you man... Twinson's Odyssey was one of my very first ever PC games I ever played in like 2000 than in 2002 or so came no one lives forever and its sequal....loved that funny little good graphics but don't have to have too high a graphics card to play type james bond type spinn-off...anyways...if they ever finish the cheating program to spawn anything in your inventory program for LBA2 (Twinson's Odyssey) than i'll think i'll give it another run....
reason being....I think the farthest I ever got in that game was where you needed this key to get into this building but there was this other door to enter this other building but once you come out of it after getting the key in that building...you don't have the key anymore to use on the door outside of tha building so than I quite playing..but i'll try again someday so makes be cry to think i'm not a kid anymore and this stuff is long forgotten :(
Actually, I both agree withyou and disagree with you. I really miss the games where developers put so much work into music, storyline, gameplay etc. Now they only care about the graphics. Fuckin graphics are fine! However, if you've played the Half-Life series.. Valve have stuck with the source engine, not the best graphics, but also take time to develop storyline, gameplay, charactors and music. Same goes for Portal, Left 4 dead and all their other games!

So many good memories, those 90's games was amazing. LBA will always be this quirky, magical game I will always remember, and the theme music made it a very special experience.

I almost cry everytime when i hear this track, there are no games like that anymore.
90s were gold age of games imo. Times when developers put whole heart in the game..

righ there with you man...

@Milkityeah
