Poi prova ad ascoltarti bene qualche solo recente e mi dici se davvero è "niente di che" uno che suona sedicesimi a 120 con un solo pedale, è stato uno dei primi ad usare accenti sul rullante e rudiments nell' heavy metal, ed ha sviluppato un groove incredibile. Poi magari mi posti un video di te che suoni "Where Eagles Dare" ...

Nicko is a great drummer. Why? He's damn good on a kit, talented is an understatement; what any band would want. However, there is something else that gives the man his appeal as I see it; his style and unique presence - not only does he love what he does, but he makes his listeners and fans, through pure musicianship as well as his undeniably good sense of humor, enjoy what he does in the most basic sense. In a word - RESPECT.

the best fucking drum solo i 've ever seen! and believe me, i've seen many of them being made by the greatest drummers! this drum solo contains the high speed of a tipicall iron maiden drum solo, jazz and R'N'B influences and techniques and the use of double bass pedals!

@stavrosmaiden - Nicko is a legend - first heard his impressive drumming on the Pat Travers Life in London and am still wow'd by that record. However this solo is somewhat basic - loads of single stroke rolls, buzz rolls, triplets and the usual - I think he can do much better. I've seen 1000's of solos myself and the one on youtube called "Amazing Drum Solo" by Dylan Elise is exactly what it says..amazing from brushes to sticks - all in one - the last 2 minutes are superb.
