doesnt matter.. plus it is a cloth hose, and usually wont has as much force comin off as a rubber hose would (since its not as bendable as the cloth type due to packing) plus the couplings are smaller than those of the stortz. we use to wrap the 4 way hydrant valve around the hydrant, but we changed it to kneeling on it as long as enough was pulled off so it couldnt get caught on on the bar on the back of the engine
