  • What a nightmare! Too bad you didn't notice BEFORE the police arrived. I hope you punished your daughter so she will learn a lesson from this. I agree with redcrystal69 that a hug and apology doesn't really cut it. On the plus side though it looks like a young peach tree, so without fruit, it should direct more energy to its growth.

  • @CroFabulous Well...God knows I wanted to. Honestly, if you knew my daughter, a hug and apology is something quite memorable coming from her. So I know she was truly sorry (I could see it on her face). It is a young try...just planted last year. I expect big fruits from it next year and a daughter that will protect it with fury.

  • That's horrible! I hope you punished your daughter. A hug and a 'sorry' doesn't cut it. I was a teen not that long ago and I would never dream of doing that to someone's property. If my friend had done it to my mothers house I'd have clipped them around the ear lol.

I hope you enjoy that 1 peach :) Make sure you protect if from birds!!

  • @redcrystal69 Well...the last peach actually dropped from the tree (from shock and loneliness). My chickens found it and took care of it for me. I envy those chickens! lol. Thank you for your sympathy.

  • Ah the parasitic nature of youth. Really disturbing story. Do they make a hava hart trap teen size?

  • I'm so sorry that your peaches were used for something other than nourishing your bodies ...still there is always next year ...hopefully the errant young ones will soon come to another understanding at some point

    thanks for sharing

  • @gaiagale Ya...always next year.

    Although...I still have pears!

    Thank you Gaiagale.

  • I hope so. With the way things are going there will be a day that kid looks back and wished, at least, that he ate the damn thing. lol. Thanks.

  • i feel sorry for the people that have never grown a crop and don't have the respect for home grown product or other peoples hard work in bringing forth a good crop , but they are kids they will grow up and one day grow there own gardens and look back maybe remember this incident and be in remorse , saying that i know that adds little or no comfort .

  • We understand that building is the way towards abundance, but often that building is destroyed in moments of mindless self-satisfaction.
