Even though Susan has an amazing voice, and though this song is pretty, it just doesn't fit Meg's character. She's more of the "Drop dead gorgeous but fiesty and hard to get" kinda girl. This song is for peachy romantic girls. And Meg is not one of those girls. At all.

but if you havn't noticed she's the only one there that would make it even harder for her to ignore her feelings where as even though she was technically by herself in "I wont say I'm in love" there was still the influence of the muses, it feels like she's the one singing this in this song and it didn't feel like the muses pretty muched forced her to give in to her heart, the way they did in "I wont say I'm in love."

I wouldn't be even then, she isn't popular because her movie isn't popular, Disney seem to think that only the popular disney films who have a leading lady are deemed 'princess'. Mulan didn't marry a prince but she is deemed a 'princess' because Mulan the movie was popular, in that seem sentiment, Kida from Atlantas WAS a princess and she isn't deemed one because her movie wasn't popular. So it depends on how popular a film is to wether or not a princess is made and Hercules wasn't so popular.

@TheLostLenore Actually (you're correct by the way) I read an article online on what makes a disney princess a princess after we started this conversation, and a princess is deemed if she is beautiful, human, has a beautiful singing voice, can talk to animals, and has some sort of misfortune or thirst for adventure. So there you go. her missing ingredient is that she cannot talk to animals

@mAnNyElLaTiNo33 That is rather sad really, just because she misses out on ONE trait she isn't a disney princess, then Mulan shouldn't be either, she doesn't talk to animals, it is different if you are, like Snow White for instance, able to ask them to do things etc and they chatter away and get it done but Mulan is like anyone else, Mushu can actually TALK so thats different for a start and Crikee and Khan can't and she cant talk to them so yeah, be movie popularity for her sake instead.

Susan Egan is amazing...she was the original Belle in "Beauty and the Beast" on Broadway and now kicks butt in voice acting...I love this song but "I Won't Say I'm In Love" seems to make more sense for her character's personality and backstory as she is someone who's sworn off falling in love again after she got her heart broken and now that she finds herself falling in love again she has to much pride to admit that she broke her own rule. But this isn't a character study XD.
