@Remspeeds NO, It's not. Ford Everest is WAY much roomier than the mitsubishi montero and montero goes "unstable" when reaching speeds of 160 kph and up. Ford everest is much longer and you won't feel claustrophobic(fear of being in small rooms) in a ford everest. I rode my uncle's fortuner and the legroom is lower than the everest but MUCH shorter, so tall people will have to move their legs sideways to fit. I hate the bumpy ride of the fortuner!

Mitsubishi is giving a 5 years waranty or 150, 000 kms , that's a good deal because Mitsubishi is trying to "clean" their image to be on a par with Toyota .

I could buy a Captiva for less than a 2005 fortuner here . A 2005 Fortuner still cost 70 + % of his price new .... That 's because it's a "truc" and it's a Toyota. Also , check out the selling price of the Toyota Hilux in Germany , here it's a bargain , the fortuner as well .

In Thailand there is not a "fair" choice , most of the car are overtaxed .

In Europe , I would only go for a good German brand , or maybe a nissan GTR.

The only experience I had with GM is too old for taking any conclusion today .

@ud3r007 well some european cars that u know are really us cars,same with daewoo but actually it is owned by GM or ford....opel,vauxhall, volvo,MAN, etc. they share the same tech platform to save costs. daewoo winstrom is just a strategy by GM so they they could cut levy taxes on import cars in korea by renaming them the daewoo brand...again...now u know.

i owned a montero sport and i could say the ride is very much comfortable than fortuner..(my sister has a V fortuner variant)..power, FC,offroad capabilty,speed are almost the same just the stiffness of fortuner is the only problem..my sister is planning to upgrade her fort's suspension because both our parents always want to ride with my monty because they are really uncomfortable with her fort's bumpy ride especially going out of town with unpaved road..

it is about 50,000 USD in india i.e 2 million rupees. that would be the cheapest 4*4 in india.. we pay aroun $100000(USD) for a landcruiser (prado) and Pajero AKA Montero is around $72000(USD). In US, you can get an Evo for $35,000. In India, the same thing is around $47000(USD).

So my friend, you do not have to go by the price we quote. It is gonna be much cheaper (less than half our quote) when it comes there. :)
