Understanding the Gift of Prophetic - Pt 5 - Idolatry and the Prophetic

I went on a fast many years ago, and the lord said to me "you are a watchman". I asked him to please place a name on my ministry and he said "you are a prophet". I was floored. It is now 30 years later and the one thing I regeret is having no training at all in this. I learned all you said, but the hard way. He said "you will not make many friends", and I let him know that was fine. Not many pastors welcolm me. (I am in Maryland) but many christians do. This sadens and discourages me.

@dp6224 - I have a friend in MD who is currently preaching at a small church in I think Rising Sun, where he lives. I think it is the Methodist church there. I'm sure he can relate, as he often receives prophetic words and pretty much everything the Lord gives him causes him to be rejected as well.

I saw all 5 parts of Understanding the Gift of Prophecy. Wow, I can now have a peace of mind knowing that Im not crazy, lol. I see myself as normal now. Because in reality for every believer and follower this should be normal to us. I just felt so out of place at first. But thank U for sharing this with all of us here in youtube. Long before I was aware I had the prophetic gift, the Lord convicted me of idolatry. I was caught up in the fandom of a tv show and spent much of my time pursuing, talking about, visiting online groups and even writing fiction stories based on the tv show. ... many Christians I have spoke to this didn't understand why I felt it was idolatry. But it was when I stumbled across that scripture "set up an idol in your heart..." I understood the depth of my sin.

a lot more on the prophetic...but i was searching it out so much i let it go....so i enjoy this a lot cause i can't go out there and buy these books...i had a dream that just came to me and i forgot to write it down....there is so much of the prophetic i wouldn't even know where to start how did you know that you know your gifting in the prophetic? I have just had dreams that have come true in time and confirmed in the word or also internal dreams...its like after that what do you do next ?wait?

Good God this was amazing cause i go through this with my ex and even i think with being online...what if you asked the Lord you won't marry him unless God gives the ok?Like i miss my ex..the babies father but i won't be with him unless the Lord tells me ok...i just don't see it possible so i have had to lay it down and suffer but be safe in the Lord...the internet is the flesh thing...like i enjoy it so much...so right now i'm trying to learn about our authority and power...i wanted to know
