I believe Iran has adequate military capability and weapons stockpiles to repel any aggressor. Iran manufacture most of their own munitions and are very innovative. They have been stockpiling and preparing for many years. Many other countries would love USA to get into combat with Iran. Any of Americas many enemies could easily use the conflict to direct blame at Iran and detonate dirty bombs inside USA. A single nuclear attack inside USA would cripple them for decades.

@shrigpiece The war was won but Japan would never yield (Imperial Japanese soldiers were still surviving and avoiding"capture" until January 1972). The US estimated 80% casualties taking mainland japan. This was after Iwo Jima and Okinawa, some of the heaviest fighting in The Pacific Theater.
