I study philosophy, the paranormal, theology and psychology. Why are you saying don't think? As long as you feel all your propositions are in line with the teachings of the Bible what could be wrong with that? Althouigh i understand people who create unnecessary cults and such. But those people are evil.
What difference does any ot this make? It is the worship of human authority. Someone goes to the top of a mountain or into a cave and returns saying "God spoke to me." You can believe him or not. If you believe him, you're accepting him on his word. You have nothing else to go on.
@stopplayingchurch That's ridiculous, Jesus did FLY! It's written in the Bible! Didn't the Bible says that when Jesus ascent to heaven after his Resurrection? And He'll come back to pick the believers FLYING too! What said B. Hinn IS BIBLICAL! For if Jesus flied and we are at his very own image, we can do it! And we were able to do that in Eden! Stop criticizing Awesome men of God while you don't even know your Bible! You will be judged by what you said.
@stopplayingchurch You gave the hebrew meaning but did you went to the historical context too? For your info, Im a theologian. In the Old Testament, in the real of the spirit, when you had dominion over something that meant that you were also able to do what the person was under your authority. That's why, when Moses faced Pharaoh, Pharaoh called his prophets in order to prove that he had as much power than God.
By the way, for your info, satanists do fly too. So in Christ, WE CAN DO IT TOO!
I dunno. I pretty sure that was William Shatner at 2:24. LOL
As for Benny Hinn & the other man who claims Adam "was God," these aren't just wrong, they're satanic. It was satan who told Adam & Eve they could be "as God."
And as for the issue of "fruit" - our modern churches have adopted the notion that "good fruit" means never having a hard word. But clearly, the prophets & Christ Himself had hard words at times. It was the false prophets of Nebuchadnezzar who never had hard words.
I can't believe that station is still on the air - but God has a reason, probably to separate the sheep from the goats. (Christ said His sheep won't answer to a stranger.)
Driscoll? You should listen to what Piper says about him. He says,"Why do I love Mark Driscoll? He has good theology." Just because he has a different methodology doesn't mean you can put him in the same camp as Rob Bell.
I agree with his good theology. I am mildly disturbed by comparison with his methodology. BUT our methodology should conform to our theology, not to man centered, man made ideas. This will ultimately either cause Christ's name to be blasphemed or eventually our theology will follow suit. I will listen to things he says that are given me, but with great discernment. I pray he would return to "repent and believe" and remove friendship evangelism tactics from his ministry.
I must agree with jkyleb. Driscoll has good theology and teaches from the Bible. He just appelas to a younger crowd, which is fine. He is doing God's work. The others, Paigett and Hinn and Osteen and the lot, should stop calling themselves "Christians." They just aren't.
THis new religion is no mmore Christianity than chalk is cheese-C. H. Spurgeon
Let the record show that the more I have learned about Driscoll, the less I like him. Completely disregard my first three senteces of that post.
jkyleb- If a man has good theology, is he necessarily a brother? See Acts 16:16-18 on a girl with correct theology who was not serving Christ but men. Driscoll appeals to the carnality of his church, with graphic sexual descriptions and profanity.
Westboro Church SEVERELY misinterprets the Bible. for all of you who aren't aware, Westboro church is better known as the "God hates fags" church. God is definitely not in that church, there is nothing but hatred in it, God is love.
I'm not sure about this one in particular. This is one of the clips that was originally posted on the internet by Jim Bublitz at Oldtruth(.)com. If you go there and ask him, he probably can help.
Then If the Christ I follow is a false Christ. Then thats just fine with me. My false Christ has lead me to do my best to be a peacemaker. Yes, I fall short of it at times. I guess the saying "If I am wrong, I don't want to be right" applies to me.
I don't share this with you in arrogance, no matter how you may take it. You must realize that the person who loves you the most will tell you the most truth. Jesus Christ is THE truth.
Like I said I don't believe every word of the bible. So no scripture will change my mind. I guess we will have to just agree that we disagree with each other. Because, Just as I can't change your mind, you can't change mine.
Even if jesus did not come to bring peace. He calls every one else to bring peace. "Blessed are The peace makers, for they will be called children of God"-Jesus Christ.. Sounds like contradiction to me.
It's not a contradiction. Peace makers make peace when they can, but not at the expense of truth as Paul says in another part of the bible. If you don't agree with the Bible, though, you're right, it won't change your mind, but there is a perfectly logical reason it appears to be a contradiction and it's presented in Scripture which is why you must take Scripture as a whole or not at all.
I'll pray for you, though. The Holy Spirit can change your heart to believe it is true. Take the arguments that Paul gives and see if they're not true. I did this, and I assure you that the wisdom God gave me from what he inspired Paul to say is not even worthy to be compared to the sin I was holding onto.
I whole heartedly agree with you on that. I tried pointing the similar thing to some people on a "Christian site" but apparently they mis-quoted me to suite their own views on scripture and NOT what scriptures views of them.
I agree. I am a Liberal Christian and not an Athiest. But, I see the bible as OPINION of how the world was made and OPINION of GOd. and Yes, some of the scriptures of jesus may have been eyewitness and some written from tradition, but that don't mean that its the truth of what he said. I believe in inligment from christ threw prayer and meditation and visions.
That is your opinion, of course. It is not based on any fact, just your skepticism. What about the Bible do you not accept? Do you confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh?
Yes, That is my opinion, just as your opinion of The bible revealing the truth is an opinion. I do confess that Jesus came in flesh. If the bible was written by God and God whacked it over my head and said "believe this and only this", then i would believe it as truth. Just because some one says that they was inspired by God to write something does not bean it is true. I see nothing wrong with people believing the bible as 100% true, just as long as they don't put down others who disagree.
"Yes, That is my opinion, just as your opinion of The bible revealing the truth is an opinion."
Actually, no. That is historical fact. If you don't believe that Paul was an inspired Apostle, how can you possibly believe in the true Jesus Christ? Mormons say they believe in Christ, too, but it is a false Christ.
Thank-you for these videos. Well needed, sound, soild, clear and well spoken truths presented by Word Pictures. A ministry which speaks the truth, the hard truths, in love. Powerful...
