  • Not good

  • oh joy. i have to learn this piece in a few months. yay.

  • @arielle1399 It's not that bad.

    But then again, I'm Asian...

Just that one part where both hands are playing sixteenth notes in opposite directions at the same time...that's the only bit that should give you any trouble. :)

  • The phrasing needs to be brought out more.

  • fingerings really off bro

  • Better than Gould.

  • @POOPonnaSTICK As you should know, during the Baroque, all the voices are equal. A note with long duration can not be clearly heard on a cembalo. I think you understant why. Bach put trills on these notes to keep them heard, because he kept all voices to be independent. Not only one hand should be heard there. I think you can understand what I want to tell you.

  • LMAO @ Dynamics...Baroque period....Harpsichord....that is all.

  • this is beautiful! I am playing it too, but maybe more emotion? I think that putting your emotions in the song is the best part....

  • Work on your appoggiaturas

  • I suggest you practice more on this piece so your hands get smoother when you play it :) but it was good

  • OOPonnaSTICK The word is CONTRAPUNCTUM. There is no CONTRA PUNCTUM in music.

  • This was a refreshing listen. You made it look easy(well it is, but you made it seem effortless). Anyway great job.

  • @POOPonnaSTICK There is no melody during the Baroque period. Have you ever heard the words "fugue" or "contrapunctum"? Read some books before commenting!

  • Good! I play with almost identical speed and I like it this way :)

  • I liked it a lot!

  • Pretty good, put more dynamics or its useless

  • bach composed this song to teach his students. believe me its hard to get the timing right if u jus started playing piano

  • @goldsmash9 Bach composed it to teach his second wife, Anna-Magdalena!

  • Excellent!

  • faster tempo

  • Good job.....You don't play soulless fast like many piano players on YouTube, but you don't have any dynamics, you play it all flat, all mezzo-FORTE.........but it's not....many parts have to be piano

  • most people play the last notes in a roll (dunno if that's the right term) but otherwise it was perfect :)

  • Great :)

  • woow, great

it's one of the best versions I found in youtube :D

not too fast, not too slow (I know "glenn gould could play 40 times faster then I if he wanted", but I think it's more beatiful this way)

it's just a pity that the piano doesn't sound very good

  • Hmmm,... Nice job!!

  • good job =D

  • oh.. i feel dizzy when i saw that piano... but you played very good, and a lil more dinamika =)

  • um measure 6 bass notes are suppose to be staccato excluding the C 16th note...but yeah...great video though!

  • you're supposed to do something fancy with you notes at the last chords

  • right at 49 seconds, you were supposed to do a trill in the right hand going down form C to B...or were you? i can never understand the correct tempo for a dotted sixteenth note,

  • i would give it more staccati in the 1/16 , and much more in the 1/8 notes

  • oh thanks, im learning this song with your interpretation, thanks, very good!

  • Nice! Nice! I played this piece back in fall '94 for my recital. I never played it ever since. I wish I could learn it again.

  • omg, someone should really make a tutorial about this and the No.14 ;(

  • A tutorial would be awesome! Seeing as I can't seem to get my left hand to do anything at the same time as my right on this piece

  • thats the joke...

  • its a piece you have to work out by your selve, it improves your playing very hard, and ifyou do not even play piano, forget about that piece, you cant want to drive a ralley car without having driving lessons!

  • beautiful!

  • Awesome! Harika

  • thank you! very instructive!

  • I think its wonderful, needs no work at all.

  • No, this is indeed and invention.

  • no it's bach invention 1

  • jaja tenes el mismo piano q mi profesora ^^ es igualito el sonido! muy buena musica yo la sigo practicando =)

  • que tocas lindo

    saludos desde Chile

  • Compare 0:36-0:40 with the theme from the Fugue from Bach's Toccata and Fugue in D Minor

  • You're absolutely right there. I hear the echoes of that piece of music in many of his preludes and fugues too.

  • Hi again, formerly CrazyPianist (canceled old account), just wanted to ask you if you thought that was Bach's way of saying that the Toccata and Fugue was really his, and not something that one Johannes Ringk came up with himself.

  • perfecto vieja

  • The trills..

  • u play it well. i played this for my grade 7 piano exam last year and when u play this song, ur supposed to play all of the 1/8th notes detached in both hands. when u play this ur connecting them in both hands. some parts are ok tho, keep working on it! good job :)

    ~jayde

  • nice job.

one criticism, the lead part the notes ring out. You're playing rests where notes should be ringing out. ;)

  • love the ending you put on. but i still think I like the arpeggio a little better. Splendid job and hats off to you.

    (you have pretty hands) ^.^

  • very nice, but in the end, you need to do appregio

  • LOL nub Thats not a real word in any language. And if you mean Arprggio she can't because its not written in the music.

  • ok, my mistake...but look how you wrote it =D

  • non sai suonare ._.

chi te l'ha fatta la diteggiatura? topo gigio? ._.

  • whats wrong with the high e, f, g on your piano?

  • nice trousers.

  • good tempo and accuracy. I have to play this for a solo at state so this video really helped me to know what it will sound like. thanks! play more BACH!!

  • Wonderful! Put up more bach! :)

  • lol i have to sing this in solfage for my class.. nice job

  • hehe really nice 5/5 stars
