  • @Vastballistics Haha, I am sorry my friend. It is in the reverse for you.

  • QUESTION: What is that sort of bouncy, front end jumping/stomping that Denali does at 1:04 - 1:07? I am wondering what that is all about.

  • Great video, Lori. I always love it when you compare the pack dynamics from the prior year. What a difference from year to year! Thanks again for all you do and for keeping us informed about all the wolves.

  • Lori Please Speak slowly, I'm begging you from France ^^

  • Would putting reflective tint on the observation windows help to lessen the stimulation of the pack? Also, would placing small game in the enclosure help to get some of the energy out by encouraging hunting type activity?

As usual, thanks for the video, I look forward to them every week!

  • @Skyewolfe2 to put live pray inside the enclosure will be un-ethical, besides, there is no need. Squirrels, and other little critters find their way in and most of the time, thanks to maya, they can't get out ever! the hunting type activity you are thinking will need a bigger space, besides, if they put bigger pray a wolf can get hurt by them

  • im considering working with wolves/animals, what qualifications do you need most?

  • To answer the question from last week, why does wind affect wolves? Wolves use their sense of smell and hearing to detect prey, but also other wolves. They are very territorial, and if a pack trespasses, there can be fatal consequences. So, when it's windy, the ability to detect trespassing wolves is limited. Also, in a forested area, trees fall, even in our wolf enclosure, and falling trees can be intimidating. I think there's also something related to swaying branches or movement.

  • Thanks for the update and education, unfortunately since wolves resemble dogs so many people think they are the same. It's wonderful that you reiterate often that wolves are different, I like that. :) Sadly I wasn't able to visit this winter, but I'll be back in the spring, miss the wolves. Keep up the great work! One question, I find it hard to tell Aiden from Denali, are there any markings or other identifiers so the public can tell them apart? Thanks again for all you do!!

  • @evi3lynni3

I don't know if this is accurate, but I've noticed (while watching these and from the website images) that Aidan has grey areas of fur (almost outlines) near his eyes, while Denali has light brown areas, especially under their eyes. I can tell them apart correctly with that most of the time. Of course, one need to have a rather close look to be sure. ^_^

  • This is super fascinating! Why watch Animal Planet when you can watch this?

  • i cant believe it took me this long to find u guys.. i was there last april and loved it, as i am a wolf lover.. winter wolf paintings all over my walls... i am learning alot in the few vids i have watched. thank u for having this channel and allowing us all to learn more about wolves and thier behaviors =]

  • I am happy to hear and see that Adian is having an easier time and Maya is leaving him alone...that girl was working on my last nerve picking on him all the time.
