The Kaikoura Lights New Zealand UFO Sighting

Given modern video technology, I wish that one of these events would happen with an aircraft capable of opening one of its doors, and taping things raw, rather than through some window, etc.

I saw this when I was 12 or something 30 years ago. What would leave such a trail on only a single frame? That's 1 / 24th of a second isn't it?

according to the papers released today by the NZ governemnt the official explanation was either light coming from Venus but distorted or lights from boats reflected off clouds. thy also said they don't have the resources to investigate these sightings properly so who knows?

This incident was reported here in Finland also as a major news story and it really got me into the subject at 11. (Although I had seen Close Encounters too already haha.) This my own "UFO-flap" lasted until I was 16 or so and then got a bit tired of the whole thing. Now it's up to weather I experience my own encounter with a saucer or a "grey" to even get my eyebrows raised again :D

The old days when newspapers were delivered in New Zealand by airplane...the pilot called Murray would buzz your house and throw the rolled up paper onto your doorstep. Milk deliveries were carried out the same but after a few unfortunate "mishaps" they decided it was safer to do it by milk truck instead...talk about the nanny state ay...

It appeared first in my pictures for about a month, before it came hovering before my house in broad daylight.

This happened in New Zealand, and even here the media ignored it.

There must be an ufo base in Kaikoura mountains. I'm sure the U.S. and NZ government would have investigated this thoroughly subsequent to this sighting. Can hardly wait for the NZ ufo disclosure papers to be released soon.
