Thanks to YouTube I get to see some of my favorite people that I never got a chance to catch live. I have all the Hedningarna cds except the compilation. I played this music in my taxi in San Francisco for my customers throughout the 90's. Beautiful!
@reettaus Please let your mum know that she has big fans in the USA. I hope some time in the future I can see her perform live. Hearing her great voice on Youtube led me to explore all the great Hedningarna (and Loituma) music that I was never aware of before.
Now if only Warner Music Group would stop blocking Hedningarna content on Youtube in the USA I'll be happy. (It is ironic because I purchased several Hedningarna CDs only after discovering them on Youtube.)
@ralphyboy25: I have often bought CDs for groups only after having discovered them "illicitly." I think blocking them is foolish. I truly doubt that it somehow helps their profits, and I believe the reverse might be true. Especially since Hedningarna is not well-known in the US, so any publicity might be good publicity. :)
@TheRealMMADfan A late comment, but I have to say that I agree 100%.
During my explorations around YouTube-land I have found several new interesting bands and types of music. I myself have literally bought tens of CD:s and several DVD:s based on these 'illegal' exposures. And what is more, I would have spent much much less on music otherwise.
Of course behavior of few individuals doesn't necessarily mean anything in the totality of the business, but I'm pretty sure you and me are not alone.
@MerZuly Yeah I agree, mainly because it took me forever to find it again after finding it by accident one day, since it doesn't show up on the search for her name... :-P
Anyway, she's incredible! What an amazing voice!! :D
Good luck. She got amazing eyes. Just looking at 'em you want to smile. It's like the eyes of an infant, just so cute that you want to stare into them all day...so cute.
Yeah, that's what happens with people clump Americans up together and generalise. I personally love Nordic music. I love almost all world music. The only real American music I listen to is instrumental and TOOL.

Wooow, amazing !!
I love that way of, how to say it... breath-singing. It´s
very beautiful and I guess that difficult too.
The first time I listened something alike was in
Hendingarna´s - Raven - song and I must say that I went mad at it. It was so primal, wild and thrilling.
I´ve seen Hedningarna twice, but not in the - Sanna days - so, when I heard about her music was a true discovering.
Beaufiful voice, and she plays with it in such a
wonderful way... Just great and unique.

She is the coolest. But a question. Is she saying something or just vocalizing?

She is indeed really cool. It is just vocalizing.
