  • Its incredible that for Japan, a democracy, one party could utterly dominate for 50 years. The transition was good

  • Only turning to God and accepting Jesus as Saviour and Lord will change anything in Japan or anywhere else in the world for that matter.

  • Changing administration ain't gonna help or it'd make economy even worse.

So many parties in that tight parliament wrangling about rubbish issues.

We had enough of their divisions and hatreds.

What we want is coalition to make actions.

  • If they want change so bad they can have Obama. Obama is the god of hope and change. He will gladly make wonderful speeches about hope and change. Just treat him nice and always agree with him. And remember to thank him. He really likes that.

  • I wonder what they say now

  • Ichiro Suzuki will save us all !

  • I suggest you all go read Farenheit 451 - it's happening now. Also note how that book ends.

  • (yawn)

    Of course it is...

  • Be careful for the 'change' you wish for - it might just be worse than what you have now. Japan and USA were FINE before globalization started and now all the lazy 3rd world countries are getting the benefits of the work of USA & Japan. It's called COMMUNSIM. Hatoyama is just Japan's Obama - a saboteur who will deliberately bring the 1st world down so it can be conquered by the jealous turd world.

  • You suckers voted for Dove Mountain, now you have to live with him. Shoulda' stuck with the LDP.

  • Haha, exactly what a conservative dumbfuck would say! XD

  • @makokun9 Hatoyama's ratings dropped from 79% to 50% now and still falling. It's a disaster for Japan. Just watch - he will be out before the end of the year. Those "Conservatives" kept Japan safe and prosperous for over 50 years.

  • Oh, and Bush approval ratings didn't drop as well? And yet, he stayed there until the end of his term. Give it a rest. You are spreading shit because you're sore about it. If what you said happens, then it will happen. In the meantime, unless you can predict the future, shut the fuck up.

No government is that good, much less one that has been in power for more than 50 years. Change is only natural under those circumstances, so deal with it.

  • @makokun9 Bush just inherited a hopeless mess made by Clinton. You will recall at the height of the booming U.S. economy in later 1998 Clinton signed laws flooding America with MILLIONS of LEGAL foreign guest wokers - wrecking our economy - Bush came in 18 months later and inherited that mess. Plus Clinton dismantled the FBI and told them not to go after terrorists. We had bin Lady but 'ol Billy Jeff let him go - and let the 9/11 hijackers in. Bush couldn't have cleaned up that mess if he tried.

  • @makokun9 I will predict the future for you right now: World War 3. Obama is disarming the U.S., India, China, Russia, and Iran won't, Hatoyama will break up the U.S. alliance leaving Japan to fend for itself. Nuclear attack on America, China overruns the world. It's coming - trust me.

  • First of all, you are nuts, so it´s pointless to continue this so called ´conversation´ with you. I bet you yell that nonsense at random people every day in you neighborhood, like a bum, and they either ignore or laugh at you.

Second, nostalgia does nothing for the country, so if you disagree with this government, wait for the next election. Either that, or move to an ultraconservative nation, where the policies will always be the same. That would be your idea of paradise, huh?

  • Who said anything about nostalgia? It's historical fact. The world economy is a wreck thanks to liberal 'globalization' policies. I bet those who went through the Great Depression and WW2 were "nostalgic" for the Roaring 20s before the 1930s era of free trade screwed that up too. Just wait and see. I will be proven correct in the fullness of time.

  • @makokun9 Yes, a government is that good. America boomed for 25 years and Japan for 50 due to conservative policies. 1970s and 2000s in America were a train wreck. Why? Because of LIBERAL policies by Carter, and Clintong. If you do not value the world you have, you're going to lose it, which is what is happening now. Too bad you are to young to remember the 80s and 90s. They were awesome - because of Reagan's conservative policies. Learn some history fool.

  • It's Bush's fault!

  • We DO NOT WANT IDIOT HATOYAMA!!

  • Change, me too.

    Hope so!

  • Being friendly is not the only way to keep a good relationship. Now our government needs to learn to say NO to China. Otherwise, the Chinese government, which is entirely preoccupied with the idea of making money, will keep taking advantage of us. China is like a big North Korea...

  • This new leader of Japan is talking about friendship with other Asian countries all the time and somehow believes that we don't need aid from the U.S... How stupid...

  • Comment removed

  • Don't dismiss small words so easily, I'm sure they think over these things for quite a while.. I mean, the U.S.? yeah, they're an important ally, but so is China and the rest of East Asia's economy.

  • He is rectifying the previous policy mistakes of the LDP to overengage the US and neglect the rest of Asia.

His statement also signifies the rise of China as an important country in Asia.

  • And some Japanese are saying: "how did the West help Japan?"

Can we ask the US and Germany?

  • @SeventhSun How did the west help Japan? We just just gave them all their modern manufacturing and business that has crated modern Japan. Not to mention billions in military protection. Without USA's help, Japan would have been overrun by China long ago. Be careful of Hatoyama. He is probably a Chinese or NK plant designed to break up the U.S./Japan security alliance that has kept the world at peace for 55 years. It's called SABOTAGE.

  • you're right, pal.

this stupid administration without thorough political stance is bothering US and our national security too much...

it's necessary to have good economic ties with Asian nations. but this guy is trying to give SUFFRAGE to Chinese and Korean living in our nation, and even AID to illegal immigrants!!!

  • @newsmaniaingaidai Welcome to the New World order. They ruined USA with mass immigration from the lazy 3rd world. That's why whole world econ is hurting now including Japan. The commie globalists of the world want to flood Japan with foreigners so they can take your money and SEND IT HOME. India sends $45 BILLION home every single year form USA. And we wonder why we have a financial 'crisis'? USA is bankrupt because of WELFARE for millions of lazt illegals. DO NOT LET IT HAPPEN TO JAPAN.

  • well you never know if there'll be substantial difference in the regime change.. for one, Hatoyama's just another politician whose grandfather was a PM. This is just reinforcing the importance of bloodline to have connections with bureaucracy. His connections with large-scale public sectors furthering his votes is probably going to lead to more corruption within. The way things are now, I feel like most things will stay the same, just that LDP has a new name to "seem" like they're different.

  • Why do people feel change is always a good thing?

  • Why because Reagan conservative values as failed in Japan and throughout the world.

  • People feel change is a good thing because these wastrels, delinquents and dropouts are lazy and have failed spectacularly over and over in the old ways and they are ignorant and hope that someone new with new ideas would solve all their problems for them with no hassle on their part.

Are genetically-modified food and the rfid chip good things as they also signify change?

PS Too bad you have elected to exit this domain.

  • Congrats to the DP! I still can't believe that the LDP was in control for 50 years. LDP never had an incentive to change if you know what I mean. They were entrenched and made sure they always won by doing whatever it takes. They had no concerns about the everyday working stiff.
