Tori was NOT a Jessie replacement. Tori was a transfer in student. The show never explained Kelly and/or Jessie's absence, nor were they spoken of on the show during Tori's stay. The episodes in the last season where we see Kelly & Jessie graduating with the rest of the class were episodes that were taped a year prior to the network adding Tori. Basically, all the "new" episodes with Kelly & Jessie that aired in 1992 were taped in 1991.

this was from the ORIGINAL airings of the first two seasons when they were bought by the other netowrk, nbc I think, they edited the new theme music into the earlier episodes in order to protect themselves from a copyright infringment lawsuit. You won't hear this version in the rerun episodes.

I think Scott Gale, who co-wrote the song. When Saved By The Bell was first on TV for the first two seasons, the Michael Damian version was used in the intro. Then they changed the intro for season three with the more, I think, generic version. The third season intro and version of the theme was used for every episode when the series went on syndication.
