Good. I wasn't dreaming it. I thought there was some controvery about their win in Nagano. I watched this that year...but it's hard to remember what my concerns were. I think that Bourne and Kratz were underrated for one thing. I have been watching these guys' two routines to figure out what the problems with their routines were (or why people, including the announcer, were upset they took Gold). Can someone shed light on this.

And there is a team far better: Torville and Dean.

Nobody dances like this team. I don't understand the controversy about their win in Nagano. Listen to the commentary from Dick Button at the 97 worlds...even he admits they were better than everyone else!

Agree. I mean, both russian pairs were majestic!! But this team had a great experience!! I have to admit the final was very closed between one and another pair, but this team was better.

Amazing, fun, terrific dance!!! Oksana and Evgeny are the best ice dancers on the planet. Noone could ever be compeared to them. what they do on ice is so difficult and their artictic presentation is absolutely wonderful.

of course they did get marked down but since they were TEN HEADS better than anyone else at that competition it didn't matter and they still were able to WIN OLYMPIC GOLD.

Absolutely amazing performance. Oksana and Evgeny UNBEATABLE ice dancing team forever. Two Olympic Gold 1994 -1998, 5 Times World Champions, 3 Times European champions. They went and still are in GUINESS book of records for being the ONLY one who could win 2 Olympics 94 and 98.

Four years after thier last olympics suddenly some of the lifts that were deemed too much for ice dancing were now allowed and being performed by this very sloppy looking russian pair were ok.

Just shows how biased the judging got towards russians in general back then.

This was a great performance. My only real criticsm is right at the end the last lift was a bit sloppy and their finishing clearly off the music was not a good thing. Other than that outstanding.
