I think a pond should never be cleaned, all I do is add water, I let the filter and plants do the work, my pond is full of life that I don't even feed the fish, they are all alive happy and healthy
Also this is not suitable for outdoor fish a kiddie pool, they are bound to die, if you got the space build a bigger pond, research of how to build a pond is what you need to do first, this is highly dangerous for the fishes, they need a huge amount of space as they grow over the years depending on maintainace....
Never do you mix tropical fish, with outdoor pond fish the tropical die easily in ponds that's why they are called tropical fish to live in tanks not ponds, secondly it's very dangerous draining water out, whilst fishes are still in the pond, its wise to put them in a bucket for time being, whist you drain the dirty water out, it's easy to do with a water hose, just simply put the hose in the pond, fill up with water for 20mins then unplug from outdoor water tap and leave end of hose near a dra
well dude i'm not gonna lie like the other people said it dosn't look that great but i have a kiddie pool pond too but mine you can't tell teh diffrence when you do a water change don't take that much out, and like add the chemical before adding water
i dont think it was a good idea to put the Betta in there also if you just bought the Betta it wasn't a good idea to pour those water into your pond.
i've got to agree w/ @lostrowvaj, cos u run the risk of infecting your whole pond with any disease that's present in the water from the shop. should have quarantined the bettas first. Culture bacteria too.., so that they can convert ammonia into nitrate. and only change 10% of water so not to disrupt the bacteria colonies. All in all, great idea with the pond :-)
i think thats kinda stupid. no offence or anything but putting bettas in there is NOT a good idea because what do the bettas eat and when they breed, the eggs will just die because it doesnt have a heater
how many gallons is ur baby pool pond? what kind of filter did u buy? do u use oxygen pump ? or 2 in 1 - over head filter and oxygen? and in the 1st video u have big koi fish but in the cleaning tutorial u dont have.. instead it became smaller fish? what happen to those larger fish one?
Gallons..i dont know.. my pond estimate 1.5 meter across depth about 1 feet high.. filtercome with oxygen pump..made in china..my larger fish i sell to my friend..hahaa
that a pool wit fish in it!!!! deam how ppl is so dumb.. buy a pump atleast to pump out water and not just push it down riskin you own fish to hurt themselves on the concret!!
I have that kiddie pool which is about 500 gallons keeps some koi and rosy minnows but I dont change water frequently as you do. I leave it for mother nature to take care. Mine is about 3 years now and fishs are very happy.
I've made container fish ponds with terracota pots. Used small goldfish, plants and aquatic snails. It needed no filtration system and the fish ate mostly what nature put in the pond. I had it for 2 years and sold the house with it still working well. Just added water every few days. It's a natural environment and if well balanced, does not need a lot of human intervention to function well.
do the goldfish ever attack or harras the bettas because ive heard that that can happen or does the large male betta ever harras any of the small goldfish ???
THX! I have brought the same one(baby bath pool) as urs, BUT the wall is different, it's plastic wall...no goood..I LOVE ur pool's wall, it's not easy 2 break..
i dont think the plant can replace air bubble, but im sure those plant will make better inviroment for my fish, some of my fish, like koi eat those plant..also those plant will absord poisonouse molecul in the water..making water ordourless.. & also, in sunny day, those plant will cooling water tempreture..
wat do i feed them and their all bout longer then or as the same height as your thumb they are hiding and swimming all aorund in the pads yea the bettas r like your female and male wat do u think i should do next day plzzz im 15 years old and have budget of 20 doolars lol ty i need help
of course they are hiding becoz they dont like open surface..the reason why i leave my plant grow..also they don like moving water..female&male battas actually cannot live in the same pond for long period bcoz male bettas will kill female after intercouse..that wat i learn la..
ok i got questions ok i am to poor for filter but i have a fish tank outside my backyard like 60 gallons so for i got lily pads from the temple next to my house its been in the tank for a day today i bought two bettas a tadpole and a koi today the doing find.
this two bettas no need for water filter, but koi. really need that!.. without filter, u must change water manually every 2-3 day..if not yur koi will die in a month..
Some activated carbon would help keep the water clear and odorless for longer periods, big improvement over your first video though.
You may want to consider only changing 20% of the water or so on a weekly basis, instead of a full change as well, to help promote a more stable environment for the fish.
mean, last of that kind..that only trial of mine..luckyly i success, so no need to create another babybath pool..so next time, i aim to create bigger pond using other material..
I think I used to have that watch o__o

I do not want to be critical, but they all have a point
no tropical big fin fish with goldfish, use the chemical cleaner before you pour the water, and not with fish in the pond, use some gravel..
Good idea as for the cost part to use the pool, the music was also good...mixing was bad...

i realy don't like it.
first of all youre taking away all the water in the pond (instead of max 10%)
then you fill it up with with new water and try to get that neutral with some chemicals???
and then you put bettas in a pond with carp ( koi and gold fish ) ??? was his tale still ok after 30 min?
don't you think that youre koi needs some space and depth?
and as last it doesn't look great, but thats my opinion.
i think you realy need to read about fish and ponds cause you need it.
