Seriously though, the game plays very monotonously from start to finish. Every platforming section is the same(probably due to the non-linear design of the world), and given that the game is really easy to master, I found it pretty laborious to get from a-b about 2 hours in. The only fun I had was collecting the light orbs.

Man I completely agree with your review. I replayed the game just to hear the dialogue to be honest. It gives the characters real depth and is just entertaining.

Your reviews always suck cheezy donkey balls...I have and always will be a fan of the first 3 Prince of Persia games, but this one doesnt fit in at all and theres no satisfaction with a game you can never die in, its like Bioshock you die and keep going but that had alot to make up for it and this game does too, i would play through the story just to see the amazing scenery, but it will never ammount to the first PoP...I like a chaleng...so i think ill play Ninja Gaiden or Devil May Cry 4... :D

I find you a bit enthiusiastic. Sure the game is pleasant and all. But as a fan of PoP since the very first game, I actually find this installment bretrays the spirit of its predecessor.

Prince of Persia is a baby game. You can never die, pressing one button during combat results in a cinematic and it is overall too damn easy.

Where was the challenge? The Prince of Persia games from the last generation were a lot better than this.

We have differing opinions. I don't think what makes games good is their difficulty, I don't even consider it. Would an Oscar awarded film be better if it was "difficult" to get through? No.

Making a game easier means it's more accessible. So if I really enjoy this game, I can show it to my sister (which I did) and she can finish it (which she did) and now she wants to know more about games (which she does).

I totally agree with what you say. Not everybody likes the challenge and sure enough, this is a great game to get through considering that it lacks any difficulty. Considering that games are being more open to a wider audience, I applaud Ubisoft for it for embracing the casual market.

That said, I want more challenge and more control in my games. It just doesn't feel like Prince of Persia without the difficulty. The game held your hand the entire time and I had a problem with that.

This is definitely an awesome game and the character of the prince leaves the door wide open for sequals and prequals alike,being an adventurer and all. I could see this character in any number of settings.

No, Elika saves you from enemies with a magic attack. There is no "game over" screen. You can not die.

great review, my friend is also a fan of the series and got the game said it was amazing, but i wasnt so sure. Also wasnt so sure about it because previous PoP games were rated M and this was rated T, so i thought it would be downgraded on combat.
