Okay, watched it again and think I understand. This spleen is obviously not one of a young child. I thought sure you had referred to your slide as it related to splenic sequestration. Thanks.

This histological vid is confusing, in that SCD patients commonly present with splenomegaly due to the pooling of blood in the spleen. Organ infarction generally occurs within the kidneys and heart.
