Adrian Peterson is still the best back in the NFL. When teams play the vikings they line up to stop Peterson. There's a reason vikings wide outs are open all game. because there good route runners but most of all teams are still stacking the box against the vikings to stop Peterson. Once teams start trying to stop favre peterson will start busting out the huge games.
Thats just goes to show you how good peterson is. Even with his fumble problems he is still regarded as the best back in the league. No running back in the league faces as many guys in the box as peterson. If favre wins MVP he better give a big thanks to peterson. Put another RB back there and favre would not be having this good of a season. WRs are open all day because of the presence of peterson.
Things we can do better: teach Adrian Peterson to hang onto the ball. I think he needs a few games off to think about how badly his fumbles could have affected us this season. Chester Taylor is highly competent - PLUS - he actually can be counted on to hold onto the ball through all kinds of scenarios. AP is going to cost us a big game as the season wraps up. I can just feel it coming. So frustrating when our offense (and defense!) is so clean. He's a problem.
It sucks, from the best back in the league, to an average back, under 4 yards a carry, fumbling 12-15 times over the last seasoon and a half, what happened to him?

... and all of the huge fumbles that come with him. I like Adrian well enough but he needs to hang onto that ball.
