  • I was there when they were building the house!

  • There are always at least 5 of us living here, It houses my medical practice and my husband's office. we have zero commutes!!!!!! we have taken in a teen in need of a home in addition to our two children. I save on utilities for my medical practice which used to be housed in another location where I needed to commute and have another set of heating, cooling and electrical utilities.

I find that those that throw stones often are the doing the least for the environment!

  • She's pretty preachy for someone that built a 4000 sq ft house intended for 2 people. That place looks like a converted warehouse. REDUCE, reuse and recycle are in order of importance.

  • 80$ per month for utility is still not zero!

  • I agree with you. things like pvc and chemically treated wood are cheap, so are ineffecient furnaces, but the price we pay in the longterm for these things are great.

in other countries there is more support , financial and otherwise to do thiese things, we're just not there yet.

also, we used all reclaimed wood which is much more costly than new wood.

  • @batmobile13 this is not the norm in building green, this is for those that still feel they need massive houses regardless or its impact, which it a huge issue regardless the "green" they think it is...

  • Smart idea this house. Where can i get more information?

  • dear jetarsrace06

the house was built with compressed recylced wood pieces, NO LUMBAR. the outside is mud brick stucco with hardy boy, another recycled wood cement product

    LOL at you

  • Wow, Impressive, looking forward for Geothermal in my house.

  • That last comment is nice =) spreading the love aswell, these types of videos are what convinced me to start doing a course to become a trainee architect, because i wanna design and come up with solutions to helping the enviroment at a lost cost, the most simple solutions, are always the best!

  • Smart video. Thank you for the help spreading the word on geothermal heating & cooling. The positive environmental and economic impact of WaterFurnace geothermal is spreading because of people like you.
