  • eine Serie in meiner Jugend.... suuuper...

  • Lorne Greene was actually Canadian.

  • here's a trivia question. david canary is a direct descendant of kate canary, also known as big nose kate - doc holliday's common law wife.

  • Best theme, very exciting....freshened up the original...

  • I like this one, the other... no matter, all versions are good!!

  • The original theme was better.

  • I don't remember this version, but I remember the Episode card ;)

  • back when all you needed was a STORY! not heavy-laden special effects...

  • I like the guitar better.

  • Worst Bonanza version ever!

  • @MonkeyZorr it"s the BEST version

  • This is the BEST version of the Bonanza TV theme. LOVE IT!

  • i like the version of Lorne Greene <3 it makes me like a cowboy xD

  • This version sucked.

  • @gunnylingus...says the man whose nicknamer is Hoover.

  • @gunnylingus YOU suck

  • @gunnylingus you're wrong..... YOU suck

  • This version sounds more military like.

  • Michael Landan a minha 1ª grande paixão rever o genérico da Bonanza faz-me recuar no tempo da minha infância deliciosa.Adorei e revia hoje de novo com muito prazer.

  • well, you didn't like it cause you're a fucking tard who probably likes something shitty better, like, "married with children" or something equally as entertaining.

  • This was one of David Canary's first ever roles, before his more famous roles of Steve Frame (Another World) and his even MORE famous roles of Adam and Stuart Chandler on All My Children

  • there were two theme versions both composed by David Rose.

  • my favorite one..i can dance to this one..lol..somewhat..lol

  • where is adam? :(

  • Adam (Pernell Roberts) left the series in '65 or '66. I think Roberts had "creative differences" with the producers of the show, so his character Adam "moved east," and was written out of the series.

  • Anyone ever see the episode when "Ralph Kramden" was locked in jail on Bonanza? He was dressed in his bus uniform, & kept threatening the sheriff by shaking his fist & yelling, "Bang! Zoom"! I laughed so hard at that scene....hope that gets aired again soon so I can get that on DVD.

  • Hooray! The version I've been looking for, for so many years! "Thank you" for posting this & please don't remove!

  • My favorte rendition of the Bonanza theme.

  • Mine to, never understood why it was replaced with the inferior version that was used in seasons 12 to 14.

  • Funny thing is, this is the version I first remember. Apparently after "Bonanza's" network run ended, WPIX in New York ran the 1968-70 episodes at one point.

  • @timwhite988 right on, brother. this was the best!

  • @timwhite988 Mine as well. This was a huge hit for those kids who were just starting to ride bicycles at the time this aired (as I was at 6-years old at the time). I remember many of us kids, the next few days, after watching the episodes of Bonanza with this version of the theme would pretend we were the Cartwrights riding our horses (or bikes) to this theme.

  • That theme song brings back memories. Bonanza....brought to you by the makers of Chevrolet!!!

The only thing I hated about Bonanza was during the school year I had to go to bed right after Bonanza on Sunday nights. Monday morning was just around the corner....yeccchhh!!!

  • Excellent...my personal favourite rendition of all the theme during the 14 year run. ANy chance you could re-post. The video cut out just briefly in the opening few bars.
