I'm all for replicas on airsoft, but there are far too many scumbags out there selling these as the real deal and ripping people off. With EOtechs it's pretty easy to tell them apart, but I've seen quite a few FAKE leupold scopes sell on eBay for ~$500 when the fake itself is only worth $100 at best.
I know I understand that. My frustration more came from the vast amount of knockoff airsoft crap one must sift through before finding what you were looking for regarding the real stuff. I only buy from certain reputable companies anyway, but god forbid if you try to find another retailer, then you have to sort through the junk....

Bought one of these for my airsoft gun and it's a real bargain. Display is nice and bright with barely a hint of ghosting at the highest levels. Got it for about $55 from Ebaybanned about 6 months ago and it's still going great. Dont buy one if you are somehow expecting genuine Eotech quality control for an 1/8th of the price of a real Eotech, because you will be disappointed. And a bit naive.
i bought a 552 and xps clone for my ps90 and sig 522. works great. not sure if it can withstand heavier recoil rounds. but i tend to ignore those that never owned one and saying it's junk because it's made in china. most of our products are made in china, so country of origin should not be a quality factor. i wouldn't be surprised if eotech parts are imported.
Having said that: I got RAPED on this red dot. That goes to show what happens when we buy with our eyes closed. I paid $208 for a $70 Red-Dot. It pissed me off enough to reverse the charge on my CC and ship[ the POS back to the asshole.
I think it's sort of stupid to think that ONLY EOTech or Aimpoint makes good Red Dot, Holos, or Magnifiers. Do you research. There are some really great "other" brands out there.

The EOTech brand one ranges from $750-$800 and the replica is only around $130. I was wondering if it lives up to the real deal. Does it actually work or is it just a cheap knock off? All metal? Plus do you think/know if its waterproof?
I bought one of these replicas, never could get it zeroed only a "30 day warranty" took it apart and one of the adjustment screws was broken. $70 piece of garbage. If you buy one take it apart after it breaks (and it will break) you will see horrible chinese craftsmanship at work. Junk!!

I have the better newer magnifier the old one looks ugly and sticks and you have to get the 557 with ballistics for the 5.56 round!
