Where do they get the figure of 6 people vying for each job? It's more like 100 people vying for each decent job out there. I went to apply for a county job 2 years ago and was told there were 3500+ applicants for 40 jobs (spread out over a period of 2-3 years). Even if I were hired, there was a very good chance I had to wait another year before getting a paycheck. Sad day in America.

Where do they get the figure of 6 people vying for each job? It's more like 100 people vying for each decent job out there. I went to apply for a county job 2 years ago and was told there were 3500+ applicants for 40 jobs (spread out over a period of 2-3 years). Even if I were hired, there was a very good chance I had to wait another year before getting a paycheck. Sad day in America.

Work that involves actual creative, higher-level thought, such as research, art, medicine, innovation..are actually HINDERED by monetary incentive. Daniel Pink turns all the age-old economic assumptions on their head. I don't think Fransisco was aware of that when he made that speech.

@goldsilverandiamonds Clinton was a centrist politician, during the 90s there was a trend towards the right in American politics. Under Clinton there was a lot of deregulation and the Republicans controlled the Congress.

@prepschoolkid No Clinton was a liberal who tried to pass a national health care plan and greatly reduced the military these are liberal ideals. Clinton raised taxes again not a centrist position. Your were still to young to understand what was going on. Clinton is and was a liberal but as time has gone on liberals have become much more liberal thus leading many to belive he was not. JKF in todays standards would be considered fairly conservative and would not fit in with todays Democrat party.

sorry but the middle class and the poor class are sold on xenophobia, bigotry, racism, and are made to think they have no time or means to research the realities we are living. Add this to a strong puritanical element, and not understanding the economical picture we face, and you get politicians that are mouth pieces for the ruling oligarchy without much opposition. Probably they'll keep cannabis illegal to prevent any consciousness expansion. Same as Russia, Europe, and Asia.

The only way to save the middle class is to vote communist Liberals out. 2012 will the year the GOP will save america.
