  • have to say that still think the GT500 is the best overall combination that fulltone has come up with- the newer pedals just sound a bit thinner to my ears- though they are focused sonically- overall great gear.

  • Cool! Don't know if this was already posted - but was wondering if anyone else felt like the old FB1 was best for a "leave on all the time" sound or if it's just me? I use it with either a tele or 335 into a Fender or Fuchs ODS if that kinda stuff matters

  • I love the Jack Black demos.....

  • When you experimented with the FB-3 did you find that it added to your picking dynamics? For example, were hammer ons and pull offs easier to? Thx.

    Great Video!

  • Do you know the amount of clean boost (in decibels) that the FB-3 provides? Thx!

  • Just for fun, you should demo these two together WITH the Tim and Timmy pedals. You got sweet tones in both videos when you had both pedals on at once. All 4 should be nothing short of an eargasm.

  • 3 is much better than 2.

  • does blues junior have a "spring reverb"? or does it sound close it?

  • I just realized this is kinda' funny b/c a fat boost is exactly what comes w/ the Blues Junior:P:)

I'd rather have the pedal, too, I'm just sayin' lol

  • I love my Fat Boost V2 and how it gets a fuzzy-type boost from it. Works great for the music I play.

  • You sound the spit of Jack Black... Is that you Jack????????

  • I liked the fat boost 2 better, sounds more noisy and dirty.

  • great tone!

  • THE BOOT OF DESTINY?

  • fb3 sounds cleaner. I like them when the boot of power kicked both pedals in :D

  • Thanks for the comparisons. Your comparison of the Fulldrive 2 Mosfets were useful for my purchase too.

  • cock push-ups

  • if you ever need someone to send unused pedals to, hit me up :P. great series of reviews!

  • killer boots

  • Thanks gearmanndude. I love allmost everything by Fulltone.

  • just wicked together

I use the Fat Boost 3 w my OCD also before my high gains.

The Fulltones morph with anything like nothing I have ever experienced.

Are you experienced, well I am

IF you think the two Fat Boosts sound good together you should put it in front of any OD. Mine stays on most fo the time just enhancing my signal and line drive. No need to dirty it up, it sounds great like a clean boost. Makes my high gains have a better drive and tone.

  • V2 - sounds a little looser and flabbier

V3 - sounds brighter and more transparent

***like always, it depends on what other gear you're using, how all of your gear complements/works against each other, what sound you're looking for, how it feels, and what you're willing to pay.***

  • like to know what song is playing at the beginning of this video I likey

  • @loduck I'm pretty sure it's Dan Baird, but I'm not sure of it's solo or The Yayhoos or what...don't think it's Georgia Satellites though

  • i need a boost that gives me more volume and character. what is the best pedal for that? this fulltone fatboost? please let me know

  • U sounds like Jack Black. Hoh :)

  • If I use an OCD as my main overdrive, would one of these stack well as a good solo boost? Would I put this before or after the OCD in the effects chain?

  • 1 smokes 3

  • Two great tastes that tastes together. great quote. I wish had the resources to have both. great video demo once again.

  • yeah you sound like Jack Black hahahah but I think the fat boost 3 is cooler then the 2 but fat boost 1 is very cool so its hard to say but i like 3 cause its cleaner yeahhhhhhhhh

  • Thats funny, Ive seen this guys other vids and evryone says that too..sounds just like Jack Black

  • Is your real name Jack Black?

  • In terms of stacking them, does changing the order make a difference? That is, the 3 into the 2?

  • more clarity from the fat boost 3

  • PLEASE I would love to hear you compare the FB3 to the Klon in clean boost mode. I use a Klon as a clean boost & I love it for its fat but tight boosting of my tele bridge pickup but it's so darn big!

  • The V3 sounds A LOT better in this video...just bought the V3, and have yet to verify that.

  • Thank you very much for the test !!

  • I prefer the V3. The thing kills with humbuckers too, real nice sound.

Both together sounded like a fuzz box!

  • Stacking the two definitely sounds bad-ass.

  • hi gearmandude... i really love ur demos...did u ever happen to use a damage control womanizer.. i wonder if you can do a demo of Damage Control Womanizer..im really hoping for ur inputs and opinion..thanks

  • Nice boots!

  • Please mic your cab

  • wow the 3 is so much better

  • The 3 hands down.

  • definaltey the three

  • The 2 sounds fatter, or maybe boostier, but the 3 sounds noticeably clearer. After hearing how good the 3 sounded with the Luther, I know which one I'd pick.

Now let's see you shootout the Fatboost 3 with the Time Bomb Boost!

  • i like fulltone pedals!

  • I like the three as well, more tone clarity

  • both together sound a bit like boss ds-2.

i think other distortion pedals are better.

  • wasnt expecting that much difference.

    I think i like the 3

  • The 3 Wins

  • is that a marshall amp behind the blues jr. ¿¿

  • Awesome Gearmandude.

You are working late. Don't forget about Daylight saving tonight!!!!

    I have the Toadworks MEAT!!!!!!!!

  • We here in the US did DLS weeks ago.
