@kex192 No, the FX1 can be found for $1600-1900 easy. No ones going to pay $2500 for a HDV camcorder when you can buy a Canon 5D MkII (full frame sensor) for the same price. For the money the picture quality does not even compare, therefore prices of FX1's go down when there is very little demand.

If you're stuck between those two cameras, the FX7 is cheaper and they are both HDV (outdated technology). Check out the new Canon T2i, a way better option for true HD and better lenses.

The T2i has 24, 30, and 60 frames per second, full manual shooting control and the ability to interchange different lenses unlike the FX7 or FX1.
