@OldakQuill While I appreciate your opinion, it's likely that due to the fact that most of J.S. Bach's music was done for the church & by many accounts he had a personal relationship with God, he would attribute his talent to God. Many great composers & musicians would humbly acknowledge the presence of God in the creation of their music. You may want to read some history of Bach. PERSONALLY, I thank God for all things.
@TheDougwalk1@DontCloudMe My point was not about whether god exists, but that it is inconsistent with the theology of Christianity to thank god for the achievements of man. If man does have free will, it is the man who should be praised for choosing to spend his energies creating such works of mastery. Beyond this theological point, I do think that it is a discredit to attribute the achievement of a person to god, and that is not dependent on whether god exists.
lovely 2nd movement, with the flute taking a leading role being followed in the melodic line by the violin and both awaiting for the hapsichord to take on when they allow it, just a perfect combination, extraordinary Johann Sebastian

@jepalomartarancon what about josquin desprez? music would not be what we know it without his contribution and talents.

Wonderful performance! If you look at the far-away shot in the end, around 5:15, it looks like one of the string players has rabbit ears.

Instead of saying "Thank you God for giving us the music of J.S. Bach" , you should say "Thank you Bach for giving us one of God's greatness"...

@CreoleQ Im not trying to disrespect your opinion, but I dont hear anything romantic in this music, this is so far beyond merely ''romantic''

@dougwalk You discredit the man by attributing his achievements to your god.

@OldakQuill Can we not argue about God here, please? Let's just enjoy Bach's beautiful music without getting involved in petty squabbles.
