  • To hell with GAWD and all who talk about him.

  • Bach is the only true revelation

  • @jepalomartarancon what about josquin desprez? music would not be what we know it without his contribution and talents.

  • Wonderful performance! If you look at the far-away shot in the end, around 5:15, it looks like one of the string players has rabbit ears.

  • Is there any emotion Bach cannot invoke? Bordom perhaps I suppose....

  • As Obras de Bach são a inspiração do mundo erudito.

  • Instead of saying "Thank you God for giving us the music of J.S. Bach" , you should say "Thank you Bach for giving us one of God's greatness"...

  • Beautiful Piece....... Pity the quality and bit rate are so low, it souns bit-crushed

  • harpsichord has a very small tail

  • Beautiful!!! My favourite of brandenburg concertos :D

  • strangely this movement makes me sad. Its so haunting. But definitely beautiful.

  • @FuzzyConstant and to say that Bach is not "romantic"...hmmm?

  • @CreoleQ I definitely agree Bach can be romantic!

  • @CreoleQ Im not trying to disrespect your opinion, but I dont hear anything romantic in this music, this is so far beyond merely ''romantic''

  • @Grondorn

words often get in the way of music

  • Thank you, composers who came before him, hard work, genetics, geography, human intellect - and luck - for the music of Bach.

  • His name is Karl Kaiser

  • Does anyone know the name of the flutist?

  • UTTERLY sublime!!!! I agree with 'goodcommentguy' such beautiful, perfect music....

  • Thank you God for giving us the music of J.S. Bach.

What a beautiful rendition of this piece, had I only a small portion of the talent represented here....

  • @dougwalk You discredit the man by attributing his achievements to your god.

  • @OldakQuill While I appreciate your opinion, it's likely that due to the fact that most of J.S. Bach's music was done for the church & by many accounts he had a personal relationship with God, he would attribute his talent to God. Many great composers & musicians would humbly acknowledge the presence of God in the creation of their music. You may want to read some history of Bach. PERSONALLY, I thank God for all things.

  • @TheDougwalk1 @DontCloudMe My point was not about whether god exists, but that it is inconsistent with the theology of Christianity to thank god for the achievements of man. If man does have free will, it is the man who should be praised for choosing to spend his energies creating such works of mastery. Beyond this theological point, I do think that it is a discredit to attribute the achievement of a person to god, and that is not dependent on whether god exists.

  • @OldakQuill Amen. haha

  • @OldakQuill Can we not argue about God here, please? Let's just enjoy Bach's beautiful music without getting involved in petty squabbles.

  • @OldakQuill Take your campaign against Christianity, and the moral code that it represents, away from here.

  • if it aint baroque, don't fix it

  • Nice...Mind if I steal it?

  • Hey, they probably don't mind...

    Go For Baroque

  • @AJtheory If it ain't Baroque, don't fix it. :-)

  • @AmNotHere911 *two years later* Yes, I do mind. (Kidding)

  • Classic - lovely!

  • The two melodies harmonize perfectly into each other...great vid and great work from bach.

  • Beautifal, I think Passolini used this particular movement for one of his films.

  • I can tell that people like 'xoJB4EVER34' don't have gift from God to understand the art of classical music. I hope you will understand one day.

  • lol this is baroque music...

I <3 the interpretation of this piece

  • imagine they die that way.

  • please musicians, come on and play in the street !

  • Bach is the greatest musician and composer of all time.

  • bach is so great, genius is an understatement

how can someone make a piece of music out of nothing of such simplicity, yet so beautiful?

he really is the "father of music"

  • lovely 2nd movement, with the flute taking a leading role being followed in the melodic line by the violin and both awaiting for the hapsichord to take on when they allow it, just a perfect combination, extraordinary Johann Sebastian

  • brilliant...this is my favourite part of the concert
