Not just Japan racers,in s.f. you do not come across many straight line roads,the cars need to be tuned to corner and rev high for long periods,I think it depends where you live out in Texas most people build for 1/4 mile because they do not have to worry about cornering,ill take the twistys or track over the 1/4 mile anyday.

This is the difference between american and japan racers. To americans its all about who has the faster car and looks better to now i know there some out there that arent like that but most are and in japan its more about the love of driving at night an just going fast with other cars.
