but I have on question to you.. Isn't it helpfull to use the portals (ou havn't activated) to short cut some long ways, like the way to merrick? or am i wrong?

Sure, but I've only activated like 4 of the portals, so I can't use just any of them. Torla isn't a large area, so it's not really that much of a hassle to walk from point A to point B. I tend to not make as much use of the portals as I could.

Chinese dialects were all created a very long time ago, in a time where communication wasn't far-reaching. The dialects changed due to various problems such as interpretation, inconsistant education, etc.

America has no such excuse. Warping the language was just pure laziness.

This is something I don't entirely understand. You can't be pissed off at someone simply because they don't speak the way you do.

The only time I'd be pissed off about something like that is people who use "chatspeak" or whatever the hell you want to call it, simply because THAT is warping and defiling the English language. NOT someone saying "erb" instead of pronouncing that oh so important "h" in front of it.

@L0rdVega Nevermind the rest of the edits - removing the 'u' from most words that involve 'ou', the completely inexplicable change from 'aluminium' to 'aluminum'.

Of course, a single change is a bit farfetched, but when you look at all the changes together there's really no reason other than being lazy.

It isn't laziness at all. You don't understand how language works. It's not like some group got together and was like "okay, I don't feel like spelling a word this way or pronouncing it that way, so we're going to do it like this instead because I'm just too lazy"

That is NONSENSE. Language changes over time. American English became its own dialect that differs from the one that continued to form as British English. Look up things like Grimm's Law.

The first half of your reply summarizes exactly why America SHOULDN'T have put those dumbed-down shortcuts into its 'dialect'. When the European settles moved to America, the dialect didn't immediately change magically, nor did the entire group decide to change things. Yes, it did evolve from that point on, the same way the British dialect evolved, they just went in slightly different directions.

No one randomly decided to change anything. Languages NEVER change due to "petty dislikes." It's something that an entire society slowly altered over time. It WAS natural language evolution. Sorry that you're so ignorant.
