what is the diff between subsistance and snake eater because they both are called mgs3 so what is the diff, the cover is diff and classified as 2 different games. but there are still the same number in the series. i dont get it.

Subsistance just has more features such as:

-More difficulties including Extreme and European Extreme (Game over if SEEN)

-A new 3D controlled camera feature that allows you to see in all angles.

-A secret theatre mode on the second disc. (EXTREMELY FUNNY TO WATCH!!!)

-Straight up theatre mode for the game itself.(unless already in original)

-Online (although disconnected now)

-A few more camos....

you know throughout the whole MGS series all the characters were based on someone else, an actor. Big Boss/Sean Connery, Snake was based on many different actors since the beginning, the guy form Terminator, Mel Gibson that guy Plisken and more...

I wouldn't be surprised if the Konami Marketing committee saw those movies and wanted the writer of the games to produce a similar character.  Happens all the time, like when resident evil first came around, Squaresoft had one of their writers make Parasite Eve to keep up with the popularity of horror games.

Yeah, this was one of the best cutscenes in the game, apart from Ocelot's idiot meow and Sokolov's "Captain Obvious" bit. Come on! 7 guys with automatics versus 1 man with a knife and a 1shot tranq gun and they're all unconcious in just over 50 seconds! Does it get better than that? I think not! good on you for posting this man ^^
