  • 3:52 HEY! QUIT STEALING THE RAINFOREST

  • its a bit bent, oh yeah thats why it aint on the tuck no more. haha

  • So do you run ads and get called to these ranches/farms to hunt for trucks or do you just hunt and then knock on doors? Or are these on public lands and offically "abandodned"?

How to di you get them legal again if you take the whole thing and restore it? I see all kind of trucks sitting in fields but never know how to determine if I can buy one or not.

  • where are you guys from?

I have a 1978 chevy swb 4x4 with a 4bolt main 350 could build a 383 BUT, . you guys ever run across any good or decent 454 motors that would fit in my truck would ye?

  • I used to own a 1980 k10, looked just like that only mine was white. It's sad how trucks like that just get abandoned.

  • @mattymmmm why?

  • Moss - that'll buff out... LOL great project!

  • super nice find

  • my uncle and aunt have a 1950s chevy

  • Beautiful truck! I would keep the moss that is growing on the side there, it shows what it's been through. Gives it some character, like rusty tractors.

  • it's been sitting next to the barn since 1995 that has a 350 4 speed 4 barrel I started a month ago for the first time primecarb new batte second crankry

  • I can't wait to get my hands on it it is sitting next to the bc

  • my dad has1977 3 quarter ton to will drive anna has original papers 38,000 miles

  • Hey brother I need some parts off that old Datsun you got there. What year is that? I'll mail-order whatever ya got. I own a pretty nice 1970 Datsun PL521, but the front fenders are dickered.

  • That truck was in too good of shape to let weeds and thissels grow over it.

  • Ah, yes. A good old brown, long bed, single cab pickup. Back when Americans had sense and trucks were used as trucks.

  • Looks like Southern Oregon...At least the cars in the brush do! LOL

  • Its a '78. The grille was the same, just like that one, for 77-78. But that one has a black stripe along the chrome trim on the sides. '77 had a yellow stripe. Either way, still a nice truck.

  • its not from the 80s dumbass. its obviously a late 70s truck. looks exactly like the 77 we have at the shop

  • any more video of this truck?

  • @k2guysalvia Just found out about a site last night. transamdepot d o t com .They're probably connected with F body part guys. Don't see many of those at all around here. Also consicuously missing are Buick Rivieras and Toronados from 79 - 85.

  • @ElderlyIron Just found out about a site last night. transamdepot d o t com .They're probably connected with F body part guys. Don't see many of those at all around here. Also conspicuously missing are Buick Rivieras and Toronados from 79 - 85.

  • i like that truck!

  • Thank You!!! I wish more people would save these pieces of American history from becoming nothing but rust.

  • maybe there was a camper on that chevy, thats usually why the tailgate is taken off. Im not a fan of imports, but Ive always like Datson's!

  • @austinaubinoe That truck is in great shape! why was it left to rot?

  • Thistruck is from the 80's.

  • @daniel198399 They must have sent the dies to Brazil when they were done with them in the States.

  • @daniel198399 no, its a 1973-1978.....the front end isnt the 79-80, or 81-87----i own trucks from all over the 73-87 generation, i know....and grandpa owns a 1977 thats just like this, different color

  • @daniel198399 nawh ya can tell its pre-1980 by the front fenders the front end chrome and grille pinpoint the exact year of it on top of that. no flame intended but take a look at my '79 jimmy if ya get a chance

  • @daniel198399 that truck is not from the 80's thats a 70's Chevy

  • i'll take the datson :)

  • What year is the blue C/10 you're pulling the trailer with? I notice the back window isn't small, so it's a '68-'72..

  • @suprafanatic1984 69 GMC K/20 with 4:56's

  • @ElderlyIron Very nice, I love the color. I have a '69 also, check it out. :)

  • This is REALLY cool. Glad I stumbled upon this video!!!

  • theres a 1955 ford dumptruck in my town that could use some restoration

  • nice truck.

  • I think this truck wasn't sitting there for as long as they make it out to be. When they pulled out the tailgate that was all burried if it really sat for as long as it would have taken for that dirt to pile on it all that would remain of it would be a bunch of rusty scrap metal. I think it was staged to look like it sat for decades. still a neat video though

  • @mikee286 To the contrary. This is southern Oregon. Things just don't rot here like other climates. Go to the elderlyiron website and type 63 Buick Invicta in the search. Take a look at the condition. That car sat in one place since 1973. Being from Ohio, I love the solid condition of all this "elderly iron". What you saw on the tailgate was mostly pine needles. It was setting on a truck cap as well. Not on the ground.

  • @ElderlyIron Oh I c, things where I like return to nature much faster where I live and metal rusts quickly especially if it gets covered with dirt. In the forest behind my house there is an abandoned 1950s-60s era pickup truck and it's got trees growing all around it and is in very bad shape the box is completely rusted away and you cannot open the doors an windows are gone aswell. The harsh canadian environment has taken its toll on it and several othr abandoned cars and farm machinery there

  • would like it just the way it sitse

  • @mowat440 I love it that way. Bought a '77 last Spring and had to send it to the crushers b/c the code enforcement Nazi's in my county think they are the guards and we are their prisoners.

  • What ever came of this truck?

  • @THOMASOAKMAN Still sitting on the trailer waiting for the next installment. Got an 85 half ton ahead of it.

  • this would be my ideal job. Want to hire me to help you fellas?

  • Pipe wrench.lol!

  • so watcha want fer her?

  • I want the datsun !!! that truck looks great compared to the good ones around here lol

  • Yea, just throw a battery in her, some fresh gas, and you got a runner! You know a Chevy will always run no matter how long its sat for.

  • Why are all these trucks just sitting there rotting? It seems so random and such a waste.

  • sweet. I can hardily wait until you crank er up!!!
