  • The caboose just ahead of Thomas is an ex-Great Northern caboose built in the St. Cloud, Minnesota shops and numbered in the X10-X30 series. It's a very unusual "streamlined" design not confused with anything else. The first of the series had a very rounded cupola and wags dubbed it the "Volkswagen."

  • Where I live BN F9 engines were common in the early 80's til 1982 and the 814 was one of them that came to my town, so great it's still kickin' around. The thomas one is cool to.

  • It now carries passengers only on Amtrak trains operated on its trackage.

  • Does the BN still cary passager or did to stop after it became BNSF because Ive never seen a BN passager in Washington? Oh, and Thomas is awesome!

  • i have the walther burlington northern passenger train they did run a passenger fleet from1 969 to 1970 only one year beautiful train casscade green with a white hockey stick strip

  • The BN is awesome and Thomas is still a really useful engine!

  • Once again, Thomas proves he's a really useful engine!
