7:20 Notice he says "it is not on your persons." This Dementia 5 footage was first used for Rocket Robin Hood, a cartoon aired in Canada. Only instead of Rocket Robin Hood and Little John, they drew in Spiderman instead.
I remember seeing this. Can you believed they showed it on TV...to little kids? And further messed us up by using Dementia 5 for Rocket Robin Hood too?
Sorry to say, but the only way this episode could possibly get any more f*cking bizzare and enjoyable enough to watch, is if you were tripping on THE best LSD in Black Market.
2:19 "Who is this Flying boy? What right does he have to interfere with my Conquest of the Universe??!! LOL Great 60's stuff that you don't see anymore in cartoons,,,
The Rocket Robin Hood version makes more sense, but the Spidey version is alot more enjoyable to watch... due to the music. The tune LSD is a trip. Love the psychadelic, trippy other realm, world episodes of Spidey. lol
Yeah, it's all gettin' clearer now. Steve Jobs sees this one as a kid and goes 'Hey, I wanna be that blue dude who gets all that info into a little ball and makes off in the clear with it.' I thought his turtlenecks looked familiar! What's that Infinata's hurling at him & Spidey, some bewitched copies of Vista and Windoze 7? LOL
It depicts death on a planetary scale, the destruction of an entire civilization by a malevolent entity.
This severity, helped by the menacing music, did not escape me when I was 9 years, back in the 70`s, nor most of my hep 9-year old friends back then who always waited anxiously for this particular episode. It still packs a wallop watching it as an adult scifi fan.
This is one of my all time favorite episodes. Thank the twisted mind of Ralph Bakshi for this. The later shows had nothing to do with the comicbooks and they were great. I love the voices and the music too!!
The later seasons of the 60s Spider-Man show were so twisted...I can appreciate them now on a certain level, but they made me nervous when I saw 'em as a kid. Maybe it was the blotchy purple, green and black skies in every scene.
This is possibly the scariest cartoon ever made for Saturday morning kids. ABC originally never aired it thinking it may be too intense for little kids.
I remember this episode. Whenever I think of this era of Spidey cartoons, this one sticks out. Vividly remember those crazy backgrounds and that music...trippin!

Wrench the prize from the infidel! Oh, baby. Relevant to today!
More care was taken with the music than the animation, IMO.

Haha I love how Robin Hood used the exact same "nice place to visit" one-liner as Spidey.

That's the exact same story here with me. In fact, the entire episode is creepy as hell. I was really spooked by this one when I was young.
