Jason - I have been following your videos for over a year now. On July 30, 2010 I had a bone marrow transplant at the University of PA. I am doing great. Your videos helped prepare me for my journey. Like you, I was terrified but with the help of my family and friends I got through it. I had myleodysplastic syndrome and a perfect match from the registry was found. I am so thankful for my donor and all of those that helped me along the way. Which includes you and your videos.
May God be with you brother. I also have MM and had stem cell transplant in 2008. I had two years of remission and I now am on relapse. I am starting Revlimid/Dexamethasone next week and I am optimistic about it. I can tell by looking at you that you have been through a lot and as I also have had the transplant I can understand what you are talking about. I guess you are in more trouble than I am and my thoughts and prayers are with you.
I just wanted to wish you all the best on your journey to recovery. We are raising funds to bring this treatment to our hospital in New Brunwick, Canada. I have attached our fundraising campaign video - in it are our first few patients and prject doctor - pretty inspiring.
Stay strong...you are in my thoughts!!! Thank you for posting your videos/journey. It has helped me so much with understanding what my own dad is going through. You truly are an inspiration.
