@alexbyrd12 talent in what? he's been touring ChiDem for 10 Years it's more than obvious Axl is just a nostalgia act, ChiDem is a good album?, yes it is, but nothing special, SOD, IRS, CATCHER, TWAT, BETTER, PROSTITUE same genre, in fact could all be one full song, Shackler's, Rhyad, Same thing, and then the rest. most of the album is ballads. if it wasn't for the guitar work it could easily be a pop album. i'm sorry but Slash is better on his own, his playing is better than ever, axl can't sing

AFD = The biggest selling debut album in the hard rock genre and next year GNR will be inducted into the R'N'R hall of fame for it. It will be interesting to see if Axl shows up with the rest of the original lineup, but knowing him and his over inflated ego, he'll probably show up separtaely with his new bandmates. Whatever, in the end, GNR fans get to hear AFD songs 2x/year - At the NEW GNR band's concert and at Slash feat. Myles Kennedy concerts, so I can't complain!

They did spaghetti incident which had no originals, it was a cover album. Slash made GNR who they're today, he is a legend not because of Izzy's back up riffs, but because of his soloi's and lead licks. The songs Slash makes now are great, and GNR sucks now with his riffs. GNR was then a guitar band based off Slash's licks and its why he is a superstar.

@shakinbacon831 It's called a slide or a bottleneck. They 'slide' along the strings which allows you to create a continuous transition in pitch rather than the stepped transitions you get from normal fretted playing. Bad Obsession is another great GnR song where Slash uses a slide to great effect.

I am always looking for talented guitarists or pianists on YOUTUBE who cover GNR songs because they have been my favourit band since 1992 when I first discovered them. Nothing compares to ORIGINAL GUNS. For me and most GNR fans, there is only ONE GNR - Axl, Slash, Izzy, Duff and Steven.
