I think both the swedish movie and the american movie are amazing and so beautifully done of the coming of age story but also keeping to the genre of vampires and horror and its waaayyyyy better than those twilight movies

Anyone who thinks Matt ruined the source material is a fuckin douche. Matt improved on Alfredsons' movie and I fucking LOVED Alfredsons's movie, it's a masterpiece.. BUT.. Matt made one of the greatest horror remakes since Cronenberg's THE FLY. Fact.

I think Matt Reeves improved the movie. There's just fan boys out there that can't stand someone trying to make it there own. I understand that but it's very myopic and it's not demeaning on an artistic level to try to improve upon something.
