  • Aka rockhunter says that she loves this song, one of her fav Beatle tunes and video. This is one of the first Beatle tunes that I listened to after I downloaded their music fromn itunes. Thanks for sharing this.

  • @exil7 adding to scarperguy Magical Mystery Tour was a tv movie and don't think it was ever released i might be mistaken. but you can watch ALL of their movies on youtube

  • @exil7 HELP is widely available in shops if that helps, as is a Hard Day's Night. Yellow Submarine is out of print, Let it Be never had a re-release and Mystery Tour.. well I just don't know

  • @Scarperguy Yeah, I see 'A Hard Days Night' all over the place. I think 'Help!' had a re-release recently as an expensive box-sets.

  • @Scarperguy Netflix has Magical Mystery Tour.....................when I put Let It Be and Yellow Submarine in my Netflix queue, they both were moved to the "saved" section, which means they may never become available, but who knows.

  • @Scarperguy you can get all of these movies except let it be in or at hastings

  • @Scarperguy Magical Mystery Tour's official DVD release is out of print, but there is a widely available bootleg of terrible quality that is for some reason sold in major retailers throughout the United Staes. And if you're not American, the DVD is region free.

  • @Scarperguy I bought a Hard Day's Night for 5 bucks at F.Y.E. because it was on sale and Help was ther New and Used and Magical Mystery Tour was there too for 11 bucks but Let It Be was not there because apple chose to not re release it for being "controversial"

  • @Scarperguy oh, sorry i didn't put that! sorry!

  • Thank You For Posting this video, That Was Cool I never saw this before, i guess its true what John said, " living is easy with eyes closed"

  • Did'nt know a video existed for it!

  • @Scarperguy okay

  • hey wait a minute so its LONGER than this????!?!?! i want to see the whole version! where could i might find it??

  • Hello. A long time ago - LYNDON EVANS with a talented crew created this animation at LEGS productions in Manchester - for Granada Television in 1987. It was commisioned by the documentary Producer John Shepperd and Phil Buckley.

We worked closely with Peter Blake ( designer of the original album cover)

The motion control was ground breaking technology at that time and was shot by Neil Weiteska & Stuart Bourne.

This version is a poor edit from the original in GRANADA /ITV achives.

    - Lyndon

  • SGT PEPPERS LONELY HEARTS CLUB BAND!!!!!!!!!

  • This video may be nice, but not rare. It appears on The Beatles Anthology

  • Comment removed

  • @Scarperguy Absolutely agree. Thanks for uploading ;-), i love this animation. Have a good day!.

  • @Scarperguy Thank you for saying that. Maybe the reason people give thumbs down that up is because they see comments like that.

  • sweet vids mate

  • I remember this, and I remember that special when it was on - damn, I'm getting old lol

  • During the 'Billy Shears' part @ 0:33 , I'm curious as to what combination of instruments and sound trickery to get that effect.

  • @bigscolari Wouldn't it be easier to just call yourself an idiot?

  • @bigscolari *cough*beatles remasters 2009*cough*

  • @bigscolari So WHY exactly did you post the comment? There's no point in looking for a video just to leave a hate comment.

  • this is awesome~!! Thanks for sharing~!! <3

  • It was also used in its shortened form for the Sgt. Pepper's Mini-Documentary.

  • LISTEN...at 0:30

Your right, BRIAN WILSON. He's all over Penny Lane as well.

  • @dvs1572 OMG At first before I listened I'm like what bs is this. But I listened, yeah it's definitely there. Great ear and work. But as I was once taught, if you're going to steal, steal from the best!

  • @StanBennet

perhaps a video is required. step by step me the gist of it. show how you connected the dots.

  • to see that collage of carboard firgures swaying to the music is quite something. aleister crowley keeps eerily poppoing into my head...

  • Brian Wilson

  • I wonder if all those idiots that burnt all the original memorabilia and records regret it now they are worth thousands? By the way the Beatles are not only bigger than Jesus the are far far better!

  • im pretty sure that was aleister crowley satanic high priest in the top right lol

  • sick!!!

  • I agree with earlier poster....this creeped me out.

  • I think I saw Hitler amongst those cut outs... John said he wanted Hitler in there somewhere.

  • Heres a question: Where come this video from?

    please answer thank you

  • @MrMimu1 das ist keine richtige frage, es müsste heißen: Where DOES this video come from? :D ;)

  • @EduBlum good comment

  • @EduBlum i think it is rare this the only time i've seen it alone by itself and not in a documentary

  • pretty amazing! also slightly creepy, but still spectacular!!! :D

  • this is frickin's sweet!

  • That wink at the beginning... it gives me the creeps.

  • This is freakin amazing!!! O_O

  • This is when there was REAL music!!

  • @brisaunders YES INDEED!!

  • @robinzhooded You may want to know wtf you're talking about before you open your troll mouth.

  • old stuff is scary! i dont want to learn about the past anymore!

  • Jesus, the Jonas Brothers????!!! What rock did this guy crawl out of??

  • @robinzhooded So you're saying Dylan is an awful musician and the Beatles are mainstream with an awful album?

    Get to fuck.

  • @Scarperguy Some people are just so ignorant, don't you have to agree?

  • @Scarperguy I think that they are both spectacular! Sorry to barge in >_<

  • Comment removed

  • @kabouki210 There's still nothing wrong with heavy metal really.. it all depends on what you're listening to.

  • @kabouki210 The bands you listed are great , but you sound like an old fart that only listens to 60's music, theres lots of other great music out there but your stuck in your 60s and 70s world and will never find most of it.

  • @robinzhooded I have a wide range of music in a library, From the 50-Slayer. As a guitarist I can play a wide range of music. With that in mind I can say that with out bands like the Beatles, Hendrix, the Doors and so on, metal bands of the 70's-00's wouldn't be what they are today. If you can play guitar, get some music from from R.L. Burnside, The Beatles, Pantera, Metallica, Hendrix, and the Doors they are all based off the Blues. The difference is what approach the artist uses to the riff.

  • @robinzhooded And you sound like you barely looked into older music before dismissing it. Music changes over time, but doesn’t only improve. Modern music isn’t better than Bach et al, just different. There’s good old and new music. (I’m 28, BTW)

The Beatles were NEVER bubble gum pop. Bubble gum originated in the late 60s, during the Beatles’ psychedelic period. Their early songs may sound quaint now, but they were innovative at the time and still have strong melodies and great compositions.

  • @robinzhooded Forgot to mention: I thought Dylan was overrated, too, until I checked out lyrics before and after him. He was pretty much the originator of interesting lyrics in rock. Probably every decent lyric owes something to Dylan's influence.

  • @robinzhooded Then who do you consider a great band?

  • @robinzhooded Dylan gave them weed they got acid from Lennons dentist. watch?v=7IaPtrmGCHA

  • Comment removed

  • @robinzhooded You must be this high to troll the internets.

  • @robinzhooded stop trolling it's way too obvious

  • @robinzhooded so if you think the BEATLES and BOB DYLAN are bad...who do you think are good?

  • @robinzhooded umm, you're an idiot.. the Beatles were the greatest band in the world, and they still are! For you to come onto a *BEATLES* video, not being a fan to trash them is such a dick movie.. I bet you're a 40 year old man living in his mom's basement collecting comic books and listening to Justin Bieber..

  • @robinzhooded ummm actually do your research before posting a comment. Bob Dylan gave them weed, not LCD. And just because there are no music videos for MTV doesn't make it bad. For one, MTV doesn't even play music videos anymore. And two, the Beatles don't need music videos to sell their music. If the Beatles are such a bad band, then why is it that even 40 years after they broke up, they are still one of, if not THE, most popular band in music?

  • @robinzhooded Wow..... Get A Life.

  • @robinzhooded hahahahaha ure an idiot to put it cleanly and i listen to this album all the time and it calms me down at night which is really relaxing

  • @robinzhooded lol u fail at life my friend

  • @robinzhooded

I really.. wish something terrible happens to you.

    Fuck you.

  • @robinzhooded ummm they INVENTED the music video

    so MTV is all them

  • @Dan5cerKa5t I thought the music video was invented in France and shown on little jukebox machines in bars!

  • Why would this video scare someone? It is a work of art, and I think it is very cool.. The four armed doll is not scary, it is just someone's culture, and George Harrison was Hindu, so I am sure he thought the doll on the album cover was great! :)

  • Watch this on acid and your guaranteed to have a bad trip!

  • Imagine if "Penny Lane" and "Strawberry Fields Forever" were never dropped from the album.

Those two songs will add an extra Grammy to the album.

  • Ils auraient vraiment du laisser john lennon mettre jesus christ et hitler sur la couverture du sgt.peppers...

  • is it all the video?

    is there a complete video?

  • Love this older " stop animation " stuff. Its off the cuff like The Beatles songs ! No computers here, just reality !!! PEACE.....

  • sgt.peppers lonly ass club band!

  • Love it!

  • the four armed doll looks scary when she moves her arms

  • @daveelfson07bass Four armed doll? Do you know who that is?

  • @Scarperguy yup its hare kirshna...we all know who put that one on...

  • @Burromovie

    lol. assume much?

have you seen the one with lucifer? quite illuminating. double take.

  • @daveelfson07bass thats a little offensive thats supposed to be a Hindu godess

  • @modernwarfare9009 how is that offensive? maybe ignorant but he didn't mean anything by it clearly.

  • @mikecappa thanks for understanding man, i didnt know who she was but now i know thanks

  • @daveelfson07bass The four armed doll is supposed to be a Hindu goddess...

  • We did it with the original designers of the cover art and all costumes, 'The Fool' ON A&M Records.I WAS MANAGER OF Semon & Meriacha. Karl FERRIS was the BEATLES

    Videographer.

    CHEERS,

    THE DOC SINDA

  • @TheDocsinda yeah richt you weren't born at that time you are 37 dont click on hes acc

  • I've actually seen the model used for this at the Granada TV studios in Manchester

  • @johnmcglinchey.....the whole thing?

  • The entire rock and roll scene shook when the Beatles released the Sgt. Peppers album in 1967. Many consider the Beatles to be the most influential and most popular music group.

  • omg, that is so scary

  • @robbieC971 i agree

  • Dude, props for being able to animate this, looks pretty tricky

  • ..wasn't me

  • @Pattixlove, MAKE ME.

  • Oh, ANTHOLOGY!! The best ever!! Nobody can live without them!!

  • i love the beatles.

but this is one of the scariest things ive ever seen in my life.

    im sorry.

  • Comment removed

  • have you ever seen The MMT ? :)

  • I used to have this on an old VHS.

The full documentary that is. I will try to find the tape. It was a great doc. Ahh 60's.

  • If this album was praised by everybody on earth it would still not be overrated, because very few people (i think) can actually pick up the great sound from it.

I'm also tired hearing Beatle' fans say that Revolver is a better album than Sgt. Pepper because I can understand if one digs those guitar played backwards on and you'r bird can sing for example, or the psychedelia of "Yellow Sub." or "Tomorrow never Knows", on Sgt. Pepper almost everything sounds different!

  • I agree totally. I remember when Pepper came out and the impact was unbelievable!! It was like nothing anyone had heard before. Much great impact than Revolver, Of course, all Beatle songs are great, some just greater than others.

  • I'm not sure it really is the greatest album ever after all you know, maybe I'm overreacting a little. I like classical music too and this one stands close.

  • NUMBER 9 NUMBER 9 Number ...

  • i remember that.

  • i have this on dvd
