I wouldn't deny that Dawn Patrol sounds similar, but great minds think alike sometimes. Take Megadeth's new song "Head Crusher". The main riff sounds like Trapped Under Ice.

It goes both ways, but it's good music so who cares. HOWEVER, when bands like Bullet for My Suck infuse badass Slayer riffs with whiny vocals and power chord suckage, it is not cool.

I never claimed to use the word stole. It happens and this might be an example (note its the bass line and last I checked, people talked shit about Jason yet they also defend him and find that stupid) but there are sides with people saying shit they have no intelligence at all. You should see "The Four Horsemen" and "The Mechanix" debates. A majority of the people arguing on that, especially the fanboys on either band, just should have said nothing.

Well, its that the "situation" has to be more analyzed. Bands will have the time to steal or accidentally use something that has been done. Its just stupid that one group will have to state things like "So and So comes up with their own stuff and doesn't steal like So and So". I've seen that with both bands. Metallica has taken parts by mistake and purpose (which has been stated) and Megadeth has done the same. Megadeth has even copied themselves. But still it all sound good, Yes it does.

Well first: Its still pretty strange that this song was released a year after Dawn Patrol was made and during that time they had a grudge and blah blah. second: bands just copy stuff from other bands it doesnt matter who is on top and three: in the end it doesnt matter if Megadeth didnt seem to care about it to even make a case againts Metallica then nobody should care.
