better lessen those reverb/delay man...by the way its nice...the problem only with this guitar is the weight of body in relation to the neck...if you strap it on and you stand and let go,the guitar slides downwards left,however i think a properly weigh balanced guitar should stay where you positioned it....

sustain should be tested with it's raw sound rather than with effects...

I had this guitar for 3 years and just recently upgraded to the Epi Standard Plus Top. This guitar was my baby it had great harmonic response, sustain, tone, feel, and look (mine was vintage sunburst). i have only 1 complaint though. I found the ability to stay in tune not so great, especially on the G and B strings. usually that isnt a big deal at all, but on stage my G dropped to almost a Gb cause of a bend in my solo x) the guitar has character, and i recommend it to anyone on a budget

@natnalexfan11 It depends what strings you put on it, the stock ones are ok but if you want to bend the strings easily you should buy some thin gauge ones. I also lowered the action on mine which was really easy and the manual you get when you buy the guitar explains how to do it.

In my opinion, it youre gonna get an epiphone, get a standard or custom more money, but looks and sounds nicer

This is a good guitar, but i changed mine a little, i changed the pickups to 490R and 498T humbuckers, it sounds really good with those, but really, its a beginner guitar so if youve been playing for a while, you might not like it because it is a beginners guitar, and the pickups arent like.. Super amazing, but theyre good.

How do you get that sustain, could it be the amp you are using? My LP100 Seems to have little to no sustain on my new practice amp, and none whatsoever on my 1 watt travel amp (which is understandable, it isn't a freakingly good amp, it wasn't designed to be)

@minaamq I just bought the standard a few weeks back and it's freaking insane.. Way better compared to the 100 as I tried both of them out.. The body is also different.. And the standard has got the complete feel of the Les Paul including the tone and the sustain.. Save up more and buy the standard

Just about any guitar will have sustain if you put it through a fuzz box. It's the playing it straight that's the real test.

@julius9747 well mostly the tune stability is based on how good you RE stringed your guitar .. a proper wired tuner its the srecret if that doesnt work you may have to change tuners

@mokhac ive got a epi special 96 model stays in tune pretty good. so check that you string your guitar well or you might have to set it up right to set up your guitar you have to adjust the truss rod and your bridge. but if you dont know dont try it you could chek it out on you tube to learn more or get some 1 who knows how to do it. but when you set it up right youve got a heaps better guitar better action stays in tune better. this should be done to all new guitars expensive or cheap.

I did a custom alpine with beige pickgaurd, and gold hard wear Epi Les Paul 100, but I'm always am having trouble keeping it in tune on stage!! Do you have this problem aswell?

@BrantWheeler95 Maybe you'll have to change the tuner. Or just ckeck the Tonation on your guitar. And it could be outta tune because maybe you change to heavier strings or lower...than the wood has to "saddle" in for a bit an the Neck has to be ajusted. well many things can influence that (sorry for bad English) and don't get me wrong, i just try to help..because it's actually a nice guitar :D

@mj4niner Go to a music store and get your own opinion. In my opinion Ibanez sucks hard, but only because I don't like them to play. There's nothing about quality or anything like that, you have to play and decide on your own. Let the feelings and passion decide! I would rather take the Paula, as I like here... but you I dunno.

Last but not least you have to attend with quality. Some guitars, the model is irrelevant, are in worse and some are in better quality. Testing is necessary!
