it really sad to see the mother bitching at them... i think it better if they both move out and never tell them until one day when they have a baby n come back
You know what? I'm a convert Mormon but i really want homosexual couple to get married legally in every state of America.Even though I was taught to be against same-sex marriage, I truly hope there'll be another vote again over the prop 8 in California.
yes beside changed it so that it a bad ending, also it a real show truth of how people can be react to jealoussy and int his movie, they did well. the author did well. i think she is going to make more similar like this one
....and...in Iowa, Wisconsin, Vermont, Connecticut, Maine...well, the whole New England area of USA ... EXCEPT for Rhode Island. Rhode Island's a bit slow compared to the neighboring states. It's because of the huge Catholic population and the conservative governor. Although, in a recent university study showed that about 70% of Rhode Islanders support same-sex marriage and only 30% do not, which is amazing! Great progress! Hope they follow suit soon!
I hate the way she was portrayed too, but in certain sense, u have to be understanding of the writer too. If she presented the main characters too perfectly good, alot of audience/media/government institution out there will have a very negative reaction, then the movie will be accused of spreading bad influences for teaching people to be gay, and that this sort of behaviours are valued and supported.
Yeah, I already knew that, but I just wanted to say it. Because it's quite a new topic (open topic!), the writer couldn't just present it so aggressively on one side. In an interview with Yuk Chinda, she did say that the Minister who was in charge of film permits had to make "changes" to the screenplay. I'm guessing it would be the character of Roth and the ending of the movie. If it had been REAL and POSITIVE, most Khmers would boycott it & start trouble unfortunately. Let's hope for progress!
Always stand up for what you believe in and be strong! Change will happen with time and effort. Be positive! Don't fall down like how they want you to do. Always do good and be good to yourself and those around you. :)
They're going to ban the movie for sure, if the ending would let them to be happily living together for the rest of their life. So the writer has to make it a tragedy, so the rest of the world who doesnt support gay would agree yeah thats true. Anyway, it's a good step forward, at least we have our very first lesbian movie now.
