Whoa, Rfn directed "Fear X"? I saw that movie at Sundance and thought it was terrible. Pretentious film festival filmmaking at its worst. Realizing now who it was that directed it makes me want to give that movie another chance.
An interesting choice. I don't know much about this director, but I was amazed by Drive. Don't you think this tribute was a little premature? His filmography doesn't seem quite as meaty as the other directors you've chosen. But I guess it's good to build some buzz around him. I will definitely be checking out his other works. I've heard good things about Bronson.
@CharmedSparkles Well technically he is only a newcomer for some but for others he has been making great films since the late 90's but he didn't got recognition until now because almost all of his films are very dark and slow for the normal movie goer, hell i only noticed because a screening of Bronson in my town.
With each video, you expand your horizons as an editor. Some of them work outstandingly, and some of them shoot off just a bit. I'd have liked to see some more music not in Refn's films, but that's it. Just keep that in mind for the future.
@fullmetalchamploo There's a reason 'Drive' appears quite often in this tribute. This reason being because I felt that the film blended many of Refn's previous themes and aspects of plot together (the anti hero, the slow dramatic buildup to violence, an individual with specific "talents" being used by a higher power, etc.) I thought that 'Drive' utilized these in a much more compelling fashion than Refn's other work, and in turn, work better for the tribute.
You should do a Nolan one, after the dark knight rises, or a Guy Ritchie one.

You should do David Cronenberg or David Lynch too! They're both amazing

@dannyboylee Wouldn't you be a little biased toward liking it now, as opposed to having been relatively objective the first time you saw it?
