@1akez1 Thanks!! I haven't found anything else that has the same depth of features, except Mobius, which is a software looper. If you're looking for a simpler looper pedal, there are a lot of options.
@1akez1 I find Boss RC-50 a flexable and compact alternative. It has some glitches that one needs to get round though. I have some stuff uploaded using this pedal if you want to hear it in action.
Very cool. I found this because I just uploaded a vid of the SK-8 myself. The piano in the SK-8 is great for Lo-Fi stuff, though the sampler is where the real fun is. ;)
i had one of those Casios growing up. i didn't have the skill at the time to appreciate it but i really wish i still had the thing. as demonstrated, they produce some nice sound. also, i really enjoy what you do with your vocals and the Echoplex, sort of pulling a note of the chord out from the others and then weaving it back in. really gives me some aural pleasure if you know what i mean.
You should collab with Nathan Wills. I don't know if your sytles would work well together or not, but some of your stuff is extremely relaxing to listen to, and some of his stuff is like that as well.
Am sure I had that Casio keyboard as a child 1 million years ago! All sounding good.

@1akez1 Try looking up the Looperlative LP-1. It's expensive, but feature-wise, it is jam-packed.

Really awesome, I bought a SK-1 because of this vid. What effects are you using over the SK-8, and over your vocals?
MrCoenE 9 months ago
@MrCoenE Thanks!! :) Used a Line 6 Echo Park reverse delay on the SK-8, and a Line 6 DL4 on the vocals. Though I ended up selling the Echo Park...

You still have that DX21? I want one for making Sega Genesis-esque sounds!
ShaneDignan 1 year ago
@ShaneDignan I love my DX21! My friend just got an old Commodore 64 with a midi controller for some crazy old sounds.

@stateshirt Color me jealous -- I've wanted to get a Sammich SID kit since last December. You just can't beat the Commodore 64 SID sound.

Spectacular! Must look into one of those Casio SK-8's they look fun. Are they still in production or will I have to search Ebay?
sherbetheadmusic 2 years ago
@sherbetheadmusic Thanks!! You'll have to check eBay. I was lucky and found this one at a thrift shop for $10!
