I think they should move ghost to the red perks. I think it will be a lot more balanced seeing how perks like hardened, sleight of hand and so forth are a lot more useful than most of the blue perks. Hence, more people will be reluctant to run ghost over sleight of hand or steady aim or something. Dont know if you would agree Wings but if you do let me know.

@o1maddog Barely anyone used UAV Jammer in Cod 4 or Camouflage in WaW because they would lose Stopping Power or Jugs. In MW2 it got a tad bit worse cuz all the guns were so overpowered that you could get away with running Cold blooded a little more. I found it annoying then, and have heard others say the same. Now there is no SP or Jugs so you don't lose anything by running Ghost. That is why so many people run it, and people r pissed because UAVs r almost useless. Ruins the flow of the game

So they have to choose between ninja and ghost. But at the moment I can't really see any counter or than counter spy plane.

I think you need to start a campaign to get Treyarch to switch scout and ghost, it would help so much because the only competition that Ghost really has right now is Hardline but if it had to go up against sight of hand, warlord and even steady aim is a useful perk

Interesting that you count your kills between killstreaks... I actually stopped doing that because it just seemed to add extra stress to my game that I felt was unnecessary.

I just focus on killing people and staying alive as long as possible, then I'm pleasantly surprised when my killstreaks pop up. It becomes more like "Oh sweet, just got my blackbird... didn't realize I had that good of a streak going" instead of "FUUUUUCK, I was 1 away from my blackbird!! YOU A-HOLE!!"

Spy plane is the first thing you need to counter ghost and I will tell you why. On the first couple of sweeps, I count the dots on the screen. This lets me know how many ghost guys are on the other team. Now I know they are there I can plan accordingly. The spy plane provides valuable intel if you use it right. UAV Jammer, or counter spy-plane can also counter Ghost. With life and this game believe half of what you see and nothing of what you here.

@BinaryStateOfMind That's not what people are using it for though. They're using Ghost for cheap kills that make no sense, especially with weird spawns that still are hard to keep track of. You can do everything correctly while you're playing and still be killed by a Ghost user - that's a legitimate problem. People will say "just use ghost back". If it gets to that level, then what's the point honestly? I don't want to be stymied into using one perk that everyone else uses.

You got those first 3 kills no problem, now all of a sudden the spy-plane is up and you forgot how to play the game. You have to be kidding me, the same rules of engagement apply when the SP is up. Check your corners and watch you back especially since, I am playing 6 v 6 and the spy-plane only shows 3 enemies.

And none of these ghosts are good, they all have k/d's in the range of .35 to .85. Ghost lets bad players get cheap kills. There's very very few things you can do when a ghost gets behind your spawn with a silenced weapon. It's just not quite balanced yet.

There's too much incentive to use it over the other perks and it's key that all of the tier one perks be completely equal in value. One of the counters to Ghost is using a motion sensor right? If the Ghost is using Hacker Pro, he doesn't ever show up. That's just too powerful a class for this game. There need to be more restrictions.
