if you are commenting about him being an A-hole for this one... NO (though he is a bit of an a-hole on the ice) this was not flagrant it was not illegal and it definitely is not malicious. It is a typical board check that was unfortunately mis-timed. The puck was in reach if the hit player and Ference had legitimate play on the puck, which allows that sort of check. Watch it again and again and you'll see where Ference was merely going for the puck. A boarding call would have been a good call.
