  • jesus he was 50 in this inerwiew, he looks mid thrities at the most

  • what a harsh cunt that chick is...paul had to tak shit like that from some talking head reading shit off cue cards...

the media suck...they dont tell u about the true corruption in washington....but break balls balls her...nonsense

  • Flowers in the Dirt was a great album.

  • What an absolute tosser.

  • There are always haters out there.

  • the arrogance of critics, hes a certified legendary writer and thats all there is to it

  • He's still so cute!

  • I've never seen anyone carry themselves like that in interviews. Ever. Paul is just so damn cool.

  • I love The Beatles, I love Wings and I especially love Paul McCartney.

  • I LOVE ROCK AND ROLL MUSIC, ESPECIALLY THE BEATLES. I HATE PEOPLE WHO ARE INTO ROCK MUSIC AND WHO BELIEVE THAT ALL ROCKS STARS ARE STATANIST. I HATE THAT STERO TYPE.

  • He fancies her, even though he was married very hapilly, she looks like Nancy Shevell!

  • As a young kid I heared Hope of deliverance in telly. I didnt knew whats the name of the song or who is the artist, but the memory of it stayed with me till my 19. Then I found it on youtube and listen to it ever since. :D

  • thoes people never heard sing the changes

  • The sum total of McCartneys work is devastating when you hear it played A to Z , every 15 minutes you get blasted with a classic pop song.

  • 1:53 woop I beat Paul McCartney, passed grade 1 violin ;) but Paul is 100,000 times the musician I could ever be. Paul's a musical genius.

  • @WorldSpinningBlueJay didn't you SEE the video even? The critics slagged him down for not being the songwriter he should be nowadays!

  • @USvirusmanagementYT Yes, I did watch the video but I wasn't really commenting on them slating his music, I was just talking about that one comment he made about taking music exams. I just find it funny that lots of people have more music qualifications than Paul McCartney yet many of them are not as famous or as talented as him.

  • @USvirusmanagementYT You know why? They weren't born with the any talent, not did they receive it later on! Look at Brian Wilson for example. He too never passed any musical auditorium qualification. He leanrt most by himself and was very talented. I'm a musician myself, so I know how it's a working.

  • @beuchars

he got the name 'Sir' because he was Knighted by the Queen of England

  • i like flaming pie

  • @BALLYJUNKIE ew

  • McCartney... Or, is it Sir Paul McCartney or whatever? How on earth did he inherit the title 'Sir'? Mind really does boggle on this one. For one - Can't sing for toffee and for years he 'piggy-backed' off John.

Total disrespect for all the families that lost loved ones during the Northern Ireland conflict. Producing a record titled 'Give Ireland Back To The Irish'. Released 25 Feb 72.

I'd pay good money to see him repeat these words to families still in mourn. How many soldiers Paul?

  • Most people who criticize him don't know very much about music. He is a genius!

  • Critics don't make history, great rock artist who ignore critics write history

  • ill tell you how I know.....because I have seen older interviews where he had jowels and a sagging neck and now he doesn't

  • fuck Paul McCartney

  • Well, I mean can you imagine if Paul DIDN'T play a Beatles song at a concert? People would go ape shit!

  • hes a real rich establishment pig stick pepper up yourass

  • @flakbac Then when he comes out he's the shit

  • You do your thing Paul!!! WE LOVE YOU!!!!! :)

  • Are you kidding me? He plays Beatles songs at concerts because people want to hear them. Paul is a legend.

  • It's always the same crap. That Paul has had plastic surgery, that Paul hasn't done anything worthy in 20 years, that he's just a greedy millionaire, that he should stop touring because he has no voice left.... People just criticize him because they're jealous. They're jealous of a talented, wealthy, good-looking, and besides all that a decent guy with some values.

  • Is it just me, or does Paul kind of resemble Sly Stallone? Sorta like Princess Diana resembled (like a sister) Wayne Gretzky?

  • the first metal song was johnny b goode by chuck berry.

  • how can you criticize the most successful songwriter of all-time

  • I'm pretty sure he has had plastic surgery lately.

  • @pnnorton oh I agree, he has definately had plastic surgery....and with his kind of money he probbly was secretly flown in a private jet to the finest surgeon in the world. If you look at older pictures of him,,,,,,,the jowels were tightened up. I don't think he had anything really radical done.....just enought to tweek his looks

  • how do you know he DEFINATELY had plastic surgery...you dont know shit..!

  • I WANT TO BE LIKE HIM..... Except i'm a girl. Oh well.

  • what a dick opening intro that's innaccurate

  • Dude he did not look 50 there...plus he doesn't need plastic surgery he still loox great...and Paul we love ur solo work...it may not have that same beatles flavor but it's a whole new sound entirely

  • i love paul's 80s and 90s music as much as his 60s and 70s music he will always rock

  • fuck off an stop emarasin us Engish people, you twat, pack it in!

  • WHAT A BASTARD!!!!!!

  • @blueberrycloud1 Are you some sort of Chav???Please ,say that again in English???

  • @blueberrycloud1 Is that the best you can do? I wouldnt've gone to all that trouble mate, you sounded pretty pathetic there.

  • @flakbac Wrong. I would rather hear Paul Play Only Mama Knows instead of Get Back. I'd rather hear Flaming Pie instead of Lady Madonna. I'd rather hear Highway instead of Drive My Car. I could go on.

  • @flakbac not true. I love the solo stuf too and I go to his concerts.

  • The thing about Paul is that he's so ahead of his time, that people don't realize the greatness and originality of some of his albums. I mean, Ram is one of the most influential albums ever and McCartney 2 pretty much predicted how the 80s would sound. The critics criticize him because he's got a musical mind bigger than anyone else who's ever existed, and their tiny little brains can't fathom that. (this is not an insult to the other beatles...please don't take this the wrong way.)

  • RAM

    McCartney

    McCartney II

    so goos.

  • I saw him in march 2010 and will see him in salt lake in july!!!

  • Sir Paul living legend! [ sorry cliff but the Americans don't know who u r? ] Macca rocks on forever...

  • "Critics" of Paul are really just superficial people lacking both a breadth and depth of knowledge enough to form an intelligent opinion about him. Sir Paul continues to make fantastic music. Unfortunately, these idiots who make their simple, intellectually-unsophisticated comments about Paul have destroyed his reputation with facile corollaries about his past and ridiculous comparisons with John Lennon. The truth is that both John and Paul were important musicians before and after the Beatles.

  • @samsmutt Exactly. Have you heared "Electric Arguments" yet? It is one of the most refreshing albums of recent times.

  • @Md2802 he did 3 "Fireman" albums including electric arguments-and they're all cool- I agree! Paul loves to be creative and his creative stuff is great!

  • @4FabBEATLES There is a brilliant video called "Chaos and Creation in Abbey Road" on youtube. It really shows his genius.

    PS: Nice username!

  • @Md2802 Response part 1. I just got Electric Arguments. Wow, is it good. I'm still listening to it, but my initial impressions are that it's so good, and it's different from anything else he's done. However, I'm afraid that it might be a thing where it's the same music, only it's produced completely differently. Time will tell with that, though. Either way, it's really good.

  • @Md2802 Response part 2. I have to say that if people are looking for Paul to do something different, they should check out Driving Rain. It's pure Paul but with a very contempory production value. The penultimate song, Rinse the Raindrops, is 100% smokin'. Paul only says about five lines, but he sings them in every imaginable way. It's pure genius what he does on that album.

  • let's not fight on a Paul McCartney video. SPREAD THE LOVE, PEOPLE <3.

  • Let`s embrace the reality, if the Fab 4 had finished in `69 & none of them had ever written another note of music - the world wouldn`t have lost much.

`62 - `67 was IT, but when they were in that zone - Wow!

  • HAHAHAHAHA look at how defensive he got

flaming pie had a couple good songs!

  • Paul presaged true heavy metal before Jeff Beck's The Truth and Led Zeppelin I. He wrote world's first heavy metal song "Helter Skelter"

  • John wrote it with Ticket to ride. didn't cha know that?

  • No!!! Get your facts right. Helter Skelter was written completely by Paul (only).

In a 1980 interview, Lennon said, "That's Paul completely ... It has nothing to do with anything, and least of all to do with me."

Paul wrote the first heavy metal song.

  • You missunderstood me! John wrote Ticket to ride as the first heavy metal song. The first heavy metal song, "it" was written by John...

  • oh! I get it now. sorry.

But anyway Ticket to Ride doesnt even sound close to heavy metal man. Helter Skelter doesnt sound LIKE heavy metal. It is heavy metal.

  • I'm sorry that I'm not sure. Someone i think here on youtube said that John once said it was the world's first heavy mteal song but i don't know you see...

  • John said it. Yes. But its not so.

  • Actually, the first metal song was by the kinks.

  • ahhh... that wasn't the first metal song.

  • Yeah. Ppl always find smth "bad".

Paul must dont care about these stupied critic. He*s genius!

And I like mostly of his songs were writing after Beatles.

It*s a pity many ppl go to his show to listen Beatles songs, but not his own.

  • i cant not believe he let himself be put in a situation where he has to defend his talent! We are talking about Paul McCartney!

  • Man, you said it all, chuckfinn - totally agree!

  • Paul McCartney is a genius in everything that he does, and if people are too blind to see that, including these critics and idiots in the media, then screw them. Paul keeps moving forward and unfortunately many people won't realize how much GREAT stuff he's put out post-Beatles until he's dead, as sad as it is.

  • why would paul still care about the critics hes a fucking legend if i was him i wouldnt give 2 shits about the critics haha

  • Great post YellowSubmarine!

  • I hate critics! They always expected Paul to make another "Hey Jude" or "Yesterday", and they never could just look at it like a new creation! And they always were comparing him to The Beatles. They could never just accept that it was Paul McCartney, solo artist. And they never wanted to admit how amazing he was!

  • This is a beautiful man, so down to earth.

  • nothing relevant... and then they play live and let die?

    WHAT THE HELL?

  • Macca is legendary. anyone who fails to recognize that fact is a fucking idiot, to put it plainly.

  • pul i dont like you .. i love you! i hate when people start sayin shkit that i dont ask for i didnt ask for your dam opinion on paul so dont giveit to me you dam critics!!! i hate critics wether they are saying good things or bad SHUT THE HELL UP!!!!

  • I don't care what those critics say. No one is going to tell me what music is good or bad, I have my own opinion. For me, Paul McCartney is great.

  • "I need it. But I'm not having it!" Hahahaha

  • nothing relevant...live and let die!>? HELLO!?

  • McCartney is more than a Beatle! He's probably the best musician in centuries.

  • McCartney is genius. pure genius.

  • Paul was the best writer ever, just slightly above john lennon and bob dylan, those critics don't know shit, and if you disagree you shouldn't be here.

  • paul is amazing.

    <3

  • jesus, that's fuckin' harsh dude

  • Hey! If you don't like him, don't watch him!

  • Fuck you, you asshole, i wish you were dead.

  • how much more of your shit do we have to take Stom PO

  • Yeah ok. You don't know shit about music. Idiot.

  • Wow i agree that John and George had major talent but look, this man has written some of the greatest songs ever, you call that shit? hes a genius.

  • A class act.

  • paul mc cartney is the greatist songwriter ever

critics no nothing, they get payed to right crap

  • The reason that the critics, especially here in America, say that he hasn't written anything of worth since the 1980s is because American radio never gives him air time. Our airwaves here are saturated with repetitive-sounding country music, ear-grating hard rock, and filthy rap music. They have never catered to the fans (both young and old of all generations) who love his music. That is why the critics can get away with what they say about him.

  • Absolutely! I couldn't have said it better myself.

  • Critics, as Paul say ought to be ignored. It is usually the greats that "critics" aim at the most...

    Paul is great, period!

  • @Surfishy888 totally agree. I like Paul's newer stuff a lot.

  • @Surfishy888 He's written ok stuff recently. Jenny Wren and such. But they are also holding up up to the quality of the beatles. That, my friend, is pretty fucking hard to top. Critics are pretty irrelevant nowadays to the music lover, so why even bother.

  • @Surfishy888 (i take back my response) I just saw the date on the video. He's starting to write good stuff now, but up until then he totally wrote some pretty bad stuff. Maybe it wasn't badly written, but it was horribly 90s. Blame 90s production and conventions, but it all sounded like generic trash.

  • @Surfishy888 If I could give this a thousand thumbs up, I would! I hate to hear people say that. I like pretty much ALL of his solo work. Though I admit, I don't have a lot of the mid-80s to early 90s stuff.

  • @Surfishy888 You´re absolutelly right. Oh yeah "Paul hasnt done anything worth listening since years ago. God!!... Oh well... we´ll just have to put another Ke$ha song on the air, since she´s the only one who can fit his shoes at this moment. What? she´s drunk again??. Damn!! give me T Pain´s phone number right now!!

  • One of the COOLEST celebrities ever. Clint Eastwood is also in this category. Never pretending to be someone that they're not. I saw Paul in concert in the 1980's (right about the time of this interview) and he was awesome. Songs like "Hey Jude" and "The Long and Winding Road" had never been performed live in concert, and it was a magical night...

  • come on people!

this is paulie we are talking about here!!

    cut him some slack!

  • hahaha 51 that was a long time ago

  • Mccartney does not need say nothing. He is Paul Mccartney, that´s it.

  • as he said she brought fun to it! and she brought paul self-confidence as she was with him.

  • McCartney is God.

  • Live and Let Die

  • Whats the song hes singing with the fire pit early in the clip

  • soccerbud-"Hope of Deliverance"
