I LOVE ROCK AND ROLL MUSIC, ESPECIALLY THE BEATLES. I HATE PEOPLE WHO ARE INTO ROCK MUSIC AND WHO BELIEVE THAT ALL ROCKS STARS ARE STATANIST. I HATE THAT STERO TYPE.
As a young kid I heared Hope of deliverance in telly. I didnt knew whats the name of the song or who is the artist, but the memory of it stayed with me till my 19. Then I found it on youtube and listen to it ever since. :D
@USvirusmanagementYT Yes, I did watch the video but I wasn't really commenting on them slating his music, I was just talking about that one comment he made about taking music exams. I just find it funny that lots of people have more music qualifications than Paul McCartney yet many of them are not as famous or as talented as him.
@USvirusmanagementYT You know why? They weren't born with the any talent, not did they receive it later on! Look at Brian Wilson for example. He too never passed any musical auditorium qualification. He leanrt most by himself and was very talented. I'm a musician myself, so I know how it's a working.
McCartney... Or, is it Sir Paul McCartney or whatever? How on earth did he inherit the title 'Sir'? Mind really does boggle on this one. For one - Can't sing for toffee and for years he 'piggy-backed' off John.
Total disrespect for all the families that lost loved ones during the Northern Ireland conflict. Producing a record titled 'Give Ireland Back To The Irish'. Released 25 Feb 72.
I'd pay good money to see him repeat these words to families still in mourn. How many soldiers Paul?
"In order to stabilize world population, it is necessary to eliminate 350,000 people a day. It is a horrible thing to say, but it's just as bad not to say it." — Oceanographer Jacques Cousteau, as quoted in "The Courier," a publication of the U.N. Educational, Scientific & Cultural Organization (U.N.E.S.C.O.)
"A total population of 250-300 million people, a 95% decline from present levels, would be ideal." — Ted Turner of C.N.N., as quoted in the "McAlvany Intelligence Advisor," 6/96
It's always the same crap. That Paul has had plastic surgery, that Paul hasn't done anything worthy in 20 years, that he's just a greedy millionaire, that he should stop touring because he has no voice left.... People just criticize him because they're jealous. They're jealous of a talented, wealthy, good-looking, and besides all that a decent guy with some values.
@pnnorton oh I agree, he has definately had plastic surgery....and with his kind of money he probbly was secretly flown in a private jet to the finest surgeon in the world. If you look at older pictures of him,,,,,,,the jowels were tightened up. I don't think he had anything really radical done.....just enought to tweek his looks
Dude he did not look 50 there...plus he doesn't need plastic surgery he still loox great...and Paul we love ur solo work...it may not have that same beatles flavor but it's a whole new sound entirely
@flakbac Wrong. I would rather hear Paul Play Only Mama Knows instead of Get Back. I'd rather hear Flaming Pie instead of Lady Madonna. I'd rather hear Highway instead of Drive My Car. I could go on.
The thing about Paul is that he's so ahead of his time, that people don't realize the greatness and originality of some of his albums. I mean, Ram is one of the most influential albums ever and McCartney 2 pretty much predicted how the 80s would sound. The critics criticize him because he's got a musical mind bigger than anyone else who's ever existed, and their tiny little brains can't fathom that. (this is not an insult to the other beatles...please don't take this the wrong way.)
"Critics" of Paul are really just superficial people lacking both a breadth and depth of knowledge enough to form an intelligent opinion about him. Sir Paul continues to make fantastic music. Unfortunately, these idiots who make their simple, intellectually-unsophisticated comments about Paul have destroyed his reputation with facile corollaries about his past and ridiculous comparisons with John Lennon. The truth is that both John and Paul were important musicians before and after the Beatles.
@Md2802 he did 3 "Fireman" albums including electric arguments-and they're all cool- I agree! Paul loves to be creative and his creative stuff is great!
@Md2802 Response part 1. I just got Electric Arguments. Wow, is it good. I'm still listening to it, but my initial impressions are that it's so good, and it's different from anything else he's done. However, I'm afraid that it might be a thing where it's the same music, only it's produced completely differently. Time will tell with that, though. Either way, it's really good.
@Md2802 Response part 2. I have to say that if people are looking for Paul to do something different, they should check out Driving Rain. It's pure Paul but with a very contempory production value. The penultimate song, Rinse the Raindrops, is 100% smokin'. Paul only says about five lines, but he sings them in every imaginable way. It's pure genius what he does on that album.
Let`s embrace the reality, if the Fab 4 had finished in `69 & none of them had ever written another note of music - the world wouldn`t have lost much.
`62 - `67 was IT, but when they were in that zone - Wow!
I'm sorry that I'm not sure. Someone i think here on youtube said that John once said it was the world's first heavy mteal song but i don't know you see...
Paul McCartney is a genius in everything that he does, and if people are too blind to see that, including these critics and idiots in the media, then screw them. Paul keeps moving forward and unfortunately many people won't realize how much GREAT stuff he's put out post-Beatles until he's dead, as sad as it is.
I hate critics! They always expected Paul to make another "Hey Jude" or "Yesterday", and they never could just look at it like a new creation! And they always were comparing him to The Beatles. They could never just accept that it was Paul McCartney, solo artist. And they never wanted to admit how amazing he was!
pul i dont like you .. i love you! i hate when people start sayin shkit that i dont ask for i didnt ask for your dam opinion on paul so dont giveit to me you dam critics!!! i hate critics wether they are saying good things or bad SHUT THE HELL UP!!!!
Sir Paul is a creep. friend to Apartheid terror State of Israel playing songs for peace what a joke to a bunch of blood thirsty yobs who kill women and children while stealing their country. Why not play other middle east countries Sir Paul. hypocrite
Paul was the best writer ever, just slightly above john lennon and bob dylan, those critics don't know shit, and if you disagree you shouldn't be here.
Why the fuck did Mark Chapman choose to shoot John Lennon? He should've gunned this bird mouthed beast down, how much more of his shit do we have to take?
He is shit,he cant write and he cant sing.See jet, coming up,the tea song,c moon,mr bellamy and band on the fucking run for evidence.Lennon and Harrison had talent, this pig has been living off the back of that since the 60s.He should hang.
The reason that the critics, especially here in America, say that he hasn't written anything of worth since the 1980s is because American radio never gives him air time. Our airwaves here are saturated with repetitive-sounding country music, ear-grating hard rock, and filthy rap music. They have never catered to the fans (both young and old of all generations) who love his music. That is why the critics can get away with what they say about him.
@Surfishy888 He's written ok stuff recently. Jenny Wren and such. But they are also holding up up to the quality of the beatles. That, my friend, is pretty fucking hard to top. Critics are pretty irrelevant nowadays to the music lover, so why even bother.
@Surfishy888 (i take back my response) I just saw the date on the video. He's starting to write good stuff now, but up until then he totally wrote some pretty bad stuff. Maybe it wasn't badly written, but it was horribly 90s. Blame 90s production and conventions, but it all sounded like generic trash.
@Surfishy888 If I could give this a thousand thumbs up, I would! I hate to hear people say that. I like pretty much ALL of his solo work. Though I admit, I don't have a lot of the mid-80s to early 90s stuff.
