This movie is called "North and South". It was on BBC and its 4 episodes because the movie is 4 hours long and i HIGHLY recommend it. You can buy it from Amazon and it is by far the best movie I've ever seen. Hope this helps !

Yes I'd definitely recommend this movie. Hopefully by now you've seen it. It's pure magic...will make you melt in your chair. A beautiful tale of love against the social divide with a smouthering passion at it's heart. Can't recommend it enough. My new obsession.
