Oh I miss CHIC jeans..the REAL Chic jeans. They were made for a junior and came in all sizes for a female shape. For some gosh unknown reason they got the moniker of MOM jeans and they were NOT. They were as trendy as the rest, the difference was these were made for women's hips while the others were straight- more male rectangular shaped with pole legs.

@chewygooch1 I love high rise jeans, even if you pay more for them. Usually I get Cheap Monday Second Skin jeans from Urban Outfitters. Around 60 dollars. They pretty much fit just like that. And I love those sort of figures. I am very over the whole JLo booty thing. Its gross, and I do not want a big mammy figure. I like the slender look. I have a slight bubble booty, and those totally make me look like my legs are very long, and my waist is small. LOVE them!

I hate to say it, but the high waste jeans actually kept you in touch with what was going on with your stomach! you knew if you were putting on the pounds. with the low cut jeans, girls just let the belly fat hang out or over the top of their jeans. as much as I hate the "mom" jeans, they did keep your belly flat.

Sorry, but I've always hated the way these jeans fit. Nothing sexy about camel toe....I've always been too rear endowed to fit this style properly, so I'm glad for the more flattering lower rise.

The good thing about dark navy high waist jeans is that you can dress them up or down so that you don't look like a sloppy piece of crap everywhere you go? Jeans that looked like these, even though they more than likely couldn't get away with wearing them in most work places back then, but I wouldn't be surprised if you could cleverly pull off wearing them to work now.

No, they aren't "mom jeans". They are just normal properly fitting jeans. It's todays lowrise crap that's the ugly aberration. They make a woman's botton look like a man's. However some low risers are good so one can "Creep a little sneak peak" (In the words of Katy Peryy) at their cut little coin slot (Hail Lynday Lohan and Kristen Wiig.) This "CHIC" jean era...the late 1970's through the very early eighties was one of the sexiest eras ever. The clothing, makeup, and hairstyles were sexy, natural, and beautifying.
