Hey, Mr.Loughrin! This is June Hollon using my sister's account. You are really good in this song. I will never forget 'Imagine' (the song that you made)!
Maybe try to make it more of your own next time. Overall, good job on the song...bad job on the choice of sports teams that you support lol. Go Yankees.
Martin typically tunes his guitar down a half step and plays this in G minor. This is my own arrangement as I like to play it in Martin s key (F# minor) but in standard tuning.
Technically this is a descending bass line. But when I play this song solo without my bass player, the line is in the middle of the chord. Accordingly, the second chord is not really F in the bass but an F#m with a Major 7th.
Also, walk the bass E string up from the Bb7 chord back to the F#m.
I gotta say, the money line you nailed it. But the rest... too mechanical. Martin plays a step off his lyrics live, changes tempo often. Making changes right at chorus is no good you have to make it fluid and that requires some improv because there is no way you'll smooth it like Marty. Overall great job, can't go wrong singing something of this caliber.
