no offence but i cried more reading a series of unfortunate events. I mean yeah harry potter is reallyy great and all that and i did cry but i just started bawling after reading the tenth and eleventh book of the series of unfortunate events.
Snape's POVs were just not right for Lily, he did love her, but that's what he seeked for , love, and Lily just wanted a friend, someone to be there for her, and she found that in Snape. James and Lily are a perfect couple, because they're the two gorgeous popular kids everyone wants :) . Plus, James' patronus is a stag and Lily's is a doe. Kind of a "meant to be" story.
@oceanmermaid07 pffft the "two popular kids get together" routine is so unreal. it's like two people get together just because they're both pretty and would make pretty children. they're not dogs to breed for the sake of making nicer dogs. that's not why two people get together. such reasons are so superficial. they lack depth! i never liked this couple.
@jadeyes914 Of course it's unreal, but it happens all the time. When did you see , for example, some girl who has a darker style and listens to darker music being with a jock who listens to techno? They wouldn't quite understand each other , really. Maybe later on when they grow up, but otherwise, not really. That stuff happens in romantic comedies and movies where people go "awww". Plus, when I said what I said, I forgot to add some more things, so at some point you probably misunderstood me.
@oceanmermaid07 i was one of the more popular prep girls a few times but i never dated one of the more popular guys. know why? because they were obnoxious muscle heads. actually, i have seen a gothic girl with a popular prep guy. i was friends with her. it happens. it also happens that these highschool stereotypes are stupid. preps can be friends and date goths and nerds. my friends and i did all the time. i just wish jkr made lily end up with a better person so i can see WHY she chose him.

because relationships are more than those few instances of hurt. they're also made of lifetimes of understanding and contentment, and that made up for it. if it were me, i would have probably punched snape and then call it even. lol

Lily shouldn't have been so cold to a lifelong friend, but at the same time, that same friend called her the foulest name possible - even if it was in a moment of anger/humiliation and panic.
