  • Nigel Farage, Daniel Hannan. Both twats and shouldn't be classed in the same class as Ron Paul.

  • i would argue that the uk's ron paul is nigel farage. but hannan is also great!

  • Smart people Always scare the herd. How dare Dan Hannan actually use his brain -- he should just be chanting O BAA MAAA and make us feel warm n' fuzzy...

  • The UK's Ron Paul, we need to get him in the House of Commons so he can become leader of the Conservative Party.

  • i am losing respect for Hannan- firstly he is still in the Tory Party, and he has a tendency to be too clever-clever. When he hits the neil on the head hes brilliant, but he does ramble a bit. UKIP for me I think.

  • Hannan burn in hell you lying cockroach.

  • Daniel Hannan is the man!

  • I wish we here in America had him

  • Daniel Hannan is going to be the British PM someday. I would would put high odds.

  • Hannan is Europes Ron Paul.

  • Successful at keeping the US government small? What planet is this guy from? The US Government is the largest in the world.

  • @themagus187 You're missing the point Daniel makes, which is that post founders Americans has failed to reflect its historical uniqueness of having the observed components that made it the freest in the world -Small government;Individual freedom with responsibility; Lower 2 zero taxation; Ultimately a Republic not a Democracy;built and cultivated by your Bill of Rights and Constitutional documents.

Your solution/s starts with knowing the above and that they are 2 Constitutions!

  • @themagus187 Yes, but we do enjoy more political freedom that alot of other places, like he explains. I think that is what he was refering to.

  • @themagus187

I think you missed the point.

The US is 236 years old. It was only in the last 50 or so years that we have seen the explosion of government.

He is saying that it could have been much worse.

  • Hey Fury. You think ate gov is too big or you have " no effect on who your master is" go anywhere else in the world and remember we are not as free as we once were.

  • Fox and Mr. Limbaugh are not the alternative media. I just want to make that clear.

  • Meh.. Nigel Farange is a way better libertarian.

Daniel Hannan more of a establisment Conservative and a war hawk.

  • I cannot say how refreshing and uplifting it is to see that there are still some people in this world that truly understand the value and power of freedom.

I was born in Montreal but I've lived abroad almost half my life. When I came back I was just plain angry at how people in Canada understood very little the freedoms they benefit from every single day.

  • @RanMan171 tell me about it.. people in QC are so out of touch with economic realities, the left totally smothers any debate on it anyway

  • Daniel Hannan is a young Ron Paul !

  • @furyofbongos Have you always been such a pessimistic negative dribbler of drool? It is your ilk that keep us from achieving positive things in this world.

  • so Sky News is not "alternative media?"

  • I honestly had no idea Hannan was an author. I knew he was well read - witness him quoting Shakespere, Churchill, Bede in that useless EU parliament.

I like Hannan as a leader more and more.

  • Wow, it just keeps getting better... Fox news is "alternative media"??????

  • HA HA!! "...it's worked... it's kept government small". Wow, how delusional can you get?

  • Oh, it's so "incredibly precious" that I'm able to have such a miniscule affect on who my slave master will be.

  • Paul/Hannan 2012?

  • RON PAUL 2012!

  • Daniel Hannan is probably the most eloquent speaker on individual liberty this side of the Atlantic. Shame that he's completely sidelined within his own party, I'd love to see him on the front bench

  • @StevenSilverman I don't know what the front bench is, but I'd put him there as well.

  • I think we found Paul's running mate.

  • Good interview, thanks!

  • Frankly, the United States is on a predictable road. It just moved slower than the rest of the modernist world. Thank democracy, liberalism (classical and modern) and egalitarianism for the predicament we're in now.

  • Excellent upload! Thanks!

  • The United States was made different than ALL other countries. Even different from the countries the United States set up after war, i.e. Japan, Germany etc.

  • @jerryh8391 All countries were made different to one another.

  • @theredraven True, but only one was founded on inalienable rights and individual liberty. Sad to say those days are gone for the US.

  • I'll compare to Belgium. Our new "Secretary of Work", who is part of the most undemocratic government we've had in decades - and that's saying something, not that I'm a fan of democracy - has recently decided that businesses should be forced to spread layoffs among young people and older people equally. You see, we have a large group of - sometimes permanently - unemployed people over 50, and this measure will "solve" the problem!

Belgium is as surrealistic as ever.

  • @sheepOG I should add that I'm talking about our federal government. Indeed, we too suffer from it... twice. We suffer from our own federal government and the EU federal government.

  • @sheepOG We suffer from our Federal Government and the UN here in the US. We know how you feel.

  • While I hold George Washington's view on 'foreign influence', I have to take the opposite position here. This guy is simply talking sense.

    Favorited

  • Bravo!

  • It seems to me that Hannan is very much overestimating the level of liberty in the US.

  • @MigDanskeren

Relative to the UK there is probably a huge difference though.

  • Daniel Hannan is to the UK what Ron Paul is to the US.

I sincerely hope someday you can see the success that Liberty Movement has seen in the States. God Bless.

  • @Reckless3057 No love for Nigel Farage?

  • @pbfrank13 No complaint for Farage. In Fact i follow his Youtube too. Liking Hannan doesn't keep me from appreciating other good politicians from Britain.

  • @Reckless3057 I wasn't implying that, probably should of used one of these ;) or something. But yeah they are both doing the work of true statesmen.

  • @Reckless3057 I agree

  • @Reckless3057 I have to disagree. Though Daniel Hannan is a thoroughly bright chap! Nigel Farage is our Ron Paul! And the party he leads is growing in popularity!

  • @Reckless3057

Daniel Hannen is the UK's version of Ron Paul. He understands and respects the wisdom of our founders. The biggest difference between DH and RP is that DH is more articulate than RP. For all of Ron Paul's genius, he often cannot express himself in a way that the Average Joe can understand. Daniel speaks in simple, eloquent terms.

Now, if he were running for President, he would kick Obama's ass.

  • @Reckless3057 He's a 9/11 truther, anti-semite, anti-black, conspiracy theorist?

  • @chuck3668831 wow good case bro. Your'e right obviously when the government writes blank checks to people it helps them. Cause dependency is fantastic right? You're totally right if he just said, "Kill all dem Muslims" then he wouldn't be a conspiracy theorist! Good call jackass.

  • @Reckless3057 Good call jackass on voting and supporting another jackass that CAN NOT WIN! You Ron Paul supporters aren't worth the time. He can't win under any circumstance. In an alternate universe he wouldn't be president. Get used to it and get over it. Have a good day.

  • @Reckless3057 i doubt it, see the minions here in the uk have this strange idea that we have a democracy. they parade 3 mugs infront of us and choice here is picking the less of 3 evils. this satisfies people as real choice!

hes awesome, he speaks the truth, hes honest and realistic, a rare trait in politics today, so for that reason he will never even get the chance. but hes by far head and shoulders above the rest!

and i love dr paul, hes my hero! u couldnt find a purer man!

  • @Reckless3057 Daniel Hannan went on Fox News bad mouthing the NHS which was disgraceful. Pandering to Beck and Hannity is terrible and he is out of step with the VAST majority of people in the UK.

  • @totoibra1 He's a conservative, do you expect any less?

  • @Reckless3057 Your kidding right? Hannan is a twirp, where as Ron Paul is a Legend...

  • It's refreshing to see that there are still people who understand history and liberty! Bravo!
